  1. Everyone else must have better eyes than me, because from one angle it looks like one thing and from others it looks like something else. I’m not positive what happened. I think the officer was able to grab his gun? I also think the gun may have discharged when he grabbed it, meaning the officer who shot could’ve believed the victim fired a shot. Hopefully there’s some body cam footage to clear it up, because even in the “clear” videos there’s a lot going on and it’s hard to see exactly what’s happening. All that said, carrying a gun and then putting yourself in a situation where you may end up in a struggle with law enforcement is not a great idea. In the same way that putting yourself in a situation where trying to flee from law enforcement leads you to accelerate your vehicle towards an officer is not a great idea. I thought the goode shooting was obviously justified and the officer acted reasonably. I have a feeling this one is going to end up falling in the “lawful but awful” category.

  2. They are arresting people in Texas. The Texas government however is not refusing to notify the federal government of illegal aliens under arrest nor trying to hide them. The best way to deport people is to notify ICE when such a person is in custody. The person is already safely locked up and there is no need for a street confrontation.

  3. With that said, there is another member here (making many many posts in support of the right) that is in the same situation as CB/Missing Band. That member would have to be gone if we kick this one to the curb.

  4. I tend to agree. Being closely monitored. A post that this member made in the basketball forum kinda clued me in.

  6. Here’s the thing… ICE’s budget after the Big Beautiful Bill is larger than the United States Marine Corp’s. It’s larger than the FBI, DEA, and ATF combined. They’re a group of Trump loyalists, heavily armed, poorly trained, unvetted, hate the constitution and the rights afforded by it, and are willing to do whatever Trump tells them. And you guys are going to support it right up until that light bulb goes off in your head and you realize that you supported the creation of the SS 2.0.

  7. I agree he may not have deserved to die but to say he was innocent and didnt play a role in his own demise is incorrect. Just like woman that rammed the officer. I’ll leave you to your biased soap box until more facts come out.

  8. Each view can be subjective. Did he reach for his gun? Maybe. He wasn’t executed.

  9. I’ve seen the video. Did he interfere with law enforcement, yes. Did he refuse to comply, yes. Was he armed, yes. Is this tragic, yes. Was he executed, no. Depends on the lens you’re looking through. [Hidden Content]

  12. [Hidden Content] Sad, but true, just one more reason democrats shouldn’t be in charge of anything. From the article: The basic idea employed by both the Minnesota leftists and Hamas, is to be as menacing as possible to authorities, including through acts of violence, and then, when the authorities strike back, to claim victimhood and martyrdom. The tragic and needless death of Alex Pretti on Friday morning, was a terrible example of this phenomenon, one that, sadly and unconscionably, is being not just tolerated by Minnesota officials, but shamelessly encouraged.

  15. Another interesting thing that is happening concerning TDS, is that it's making Democrats pro 2nd Amendment! But, in Minnesota You Cannot Carry a Firearm While Committing a Felony Such as Obstructing Legal Process. I actually think it's like that in most States if not all. [Hidden Content]

  19. So the Occupy riots were all by the poor noble downtrodden? 😂 The democrats love folks that are pissed off about their station in life (due to their own bad choices) but want to blame their life on others. Useful idiots. Funny how the downtrodden can become violent looters so easily.

  20. No, every uprising has been by the downtrodden standing up to an over-reaching government. The American Revolution was hardly a leftist movement. Would you also consider those that seceded from the Union in 1861 to preserve slavery also “leftist?” But I can see why people like yourself hate “leftist uprising” in the 1960s that gave us the Civil Rights Act, as well as those darned liberal suffragettes who earned the right to vote for women. Should have never happened, right? No, it was all about government over-reaches, and it’s happening again. If you’re too infatuated with the guy in charge to recognize what’s happening, it’s a shame. When the NRA and lifelong Conservatives find themselves thinking alike in regards to the feds… change is coming.

  21. For those not old enough to remember, the Marxists used college professors, college students, other young people, and liberal white women in an attempt to fundamentally change the U.S. into a socialist/communist country. Violent protests, the Weather Underground, and the Black Liberation Army were the tools of the trade. There was an unpopular POTUS, and the Vietnam War. Every major uprising in this country has been fueled by the radical left. They failed in the 70's. They're back to take another crack at it with the same stooges.

  22. I don’t agree with how they’ve framed it, but the left has done exactly the opposite in both shootings, immediately blaming the agents (despite overwhelming video evidence in the Good shooting) which seems not to bother you. So I guess your political affiliation determines which side’s posturing and slant is acceptable.

  23. I hear what you’re saying. I can also see why some people would feel like the lady driver tried to hit the MAGA Agent standing beside her vehicle, and therefore deserved to die. But I have yet to see anything done by this man that appears illegal, yet he was instantly labeled a domestic terrorist, seditionist, insurgent…. Not by fanboys on sports boards, but by the head of DHS, the head of CBP, and numerous legislators. If you believe that you and i should wait for the results of an investigation before casting judgment, how can you support leadership who didn’t wait before defaming them victim and announcing that there will be no investigation? It’s like that movie “The Dictator,” except it’s real life and not funny in the least.

  24. Dude! The whole purpose of carrying a weapon is to be “prepared for confrontations.” Now you guys are using “carrying a weapon”’as justification to be killed by MAGA agents? The guy never did anything except try to shield a female from abuse (excessive force) from a MAGA thug… and because he also had a gun in his waistband, he was murdered. I guess the 2A only applies to those who agree with MAGA now, huh? This guy was an ICU nurse at the VA hospital. There are clips of him honoring dead veterans in his place of employment. He was good one, and he didn’t deserve what happened to him, and he dang sure doesn’t deserve to be vilified as a “domestic terrorist” by so-called Republicans to cover their own inept heinies.

  25. You know you’re dodging the point. How many LTC carriers carry extra magazines if they’re not prepared for confrontation?

  26. Great game by both teams. IMO the reason WB won is they had the best player in the court last night. Jones is great and can score the basketball but EG can impact the game on both sides of the basketball and that’s the difference maker that makes WB the front runner to win the district. Before this game I was thinking each home team would win but after watching last night I got WB winning the outright district championship.

  27. Geez…. 😂 A giant welcome mat like your front porch doesn’t sound like accepting people who have entered the country legally. Who can walk up on a front porch? Anyone. Front porches are open to the public. This guy sounds like he wants Texas to be that front porch where anyone can come up for any reason. He could have easily mentioned legal immigration only without mentioning come on up on my front porch. However….. These kinds of snippets are sometimes noted as being true (actual recording) but completely dishonest on intent. It is entirely possible that Talarico said that he was only for legal immigration AND if immigrants comply with federal law, we should welcome them. I doubt it but it is entirely plausible. I don’t know where to go with the tacos, hot sauce and beers comment. That is downright hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣

  28. What's wrong with what Talarico said? Texas should not welcome our neighbors from the south? He didn't say open the borders and do away with immigration laws. Did you watch Talarico's debate with Crockett or are you just copying and pasting snips from Paxton's X account? How can R's back Paxton? Adultery is OK, just don't let in those brown people at the southern border? Let in their tacos, hot sauce, Mexican restauants, Dos Equis, Modelo, and cheap labor, but shut down the border and pick up the welcome mat if they want to live here? Paxton's like Trump, just grab'em in the p---y, commit adultrey, and run for re-election. SMH.

  35. Sir, you should watch a video instead of spewing what “they” tell you. The victim never attacked, never resisted, and had already been disarmed when he was murdered. More and more angles keep showing the same facts. When did you become okay with masked federal agents shooting civilians with complete immunity from investigation, much less punishment? You seem like a decent person-my guess is that you’d a completely different opinion if we had a different President.
    1 point
  36. Watch the clip that I just posted. You never even see the victim resist, much less attack. He was pepper sprayed, thrown to the ground, beaten, disarmed, then shot. By a gang of masked federal agents in broad daylight on a city street in the Heartland, and y’all try to defend it.

His statement may have been a bit foolish, but he was enrolled in Fall classes. He would not have bern eligible otherwise. He should have bern more clear about not being enrolled for the upcoming spring semester. The norm is 9 hours for a graduate student. Not sure if the hour requirement would be lower if graduate at the doctoral level which I assume would be an extreme rarity for a collegiate athlete.

  40. Could not have said it better, I watched this game off and on last night. Then I watched it this morning in it's entirety. The team that played the best won last night. It's just that simple. The two teams are pretty evenly matched. It's all about who executes the best and who makes the better adjustments when they play each other. United will have another opportunity to avenge the loss. Play better the next time.

  41. Yeh, I think most men would be extremely upset if somebody said something crazy to their wife. Im not sure vidor people realize how lucky they are to have such a solid coach. It wasn’t that long ago they were a perennial door mat.

    Warren is OPEN

Lots to ponder here. pros and cons. Cons first program has won 5 games four tomes this century and 6 games once this century and it’s a rural east Texas town. Pays not gonna match suburban schools and hiring coaches can be hard. If married wife has to know that town is small. For older coaches you gotta take on pay for retirement reasons pros not a lot of pressure to come win now. for a young coach chance to learn how to develop a program. Small school atmosphere is not a bad thing for families. For older coaches that might have rural roots chance to get back to that. everybody wants to win and win big but at the end of the day it’s about developing young men and help in making them great dads and husbands.
