@AggiesAreWe I know there was a time when a Silsbee kid got a tech, he had to sit the next game (kind of like the targeting rule in CFB). Was that a Sigler thing or a district thing or what? I wasn’t crazy about that rule because especially down here, I have seen refs hand out technicals for ridiculous reasons. On the other hand, I would think that consequence would stop some of the nonsense going on as well. If a kid misses a layup and is mad at himself and takes a hard two hand dribble with the ball and gets a tech, that’s one thing (I’ve seen that exact scenario). If a kid curses at a ref, an opponent, etc and gets one, should be more than a foul imo.

For ppl to say Silsbee scared to play Kountze flat out don't know basketball. Silsbee year in year out pre season Schedule has been top tier, even knowing the fact they will be without the Guys that play football to start the season.

Realistically, SA is at the farthest range of our coverage area and you legitimately may be the only SA poster active on the board, when you’re active. It’s not a disrespect thing, just more of a practicality. AAW makes threads for the games that are more likely to generate discussion. If he had a thread for every game in the districts that only have 1-2 teams that have active posters there would be 10-15 dead threads every game night clogging up the forum

Others received significant playing time due to injuries/lopsided games. While they'll miss the 3-headed rushing monster, they'll still have 2, and maybe will incorporate the TE & WR on above list a little more to get to more of a 70-30 mix. That would be good enough of a mix for me within the LP system. Might even make them more dangerous. I may have underestimated their chances to go just as far or farther next year. Barring injuries of course. Gonna' need to keep that new stadium record blemish free! The Border War Rivalry for the first game in it is going to be rockin’!!!
