It's interesting that Abseck may be in the thought process at Lufkin???? I don't know anything either way. Folks do lots of supposing talk around here. Personally don't think that's the road it is going down but we will see. Lots of teams looking for HC in Texas right now, not enough good ones to go around IMO. Some schools are going to be paying a lot of money to watered down visions of greatness.

Option 1: make $100k for 3-4 years with a supt that you like. Option 2: make $200k for 3-4 years with a supt you don’t like. Potentially a near half million $ difference. Not a hard decision.

Looking at tomorrow night's games and the district standings, there are some teams who can clinch playoff spots tomorrow night, I will hold off on posting a thread for playoff scenarios until this weekend. (might do one Thursday night) In the mean time, I will post potential playoff clinches in the individual and district game threads (where it's applicable) tomorrow afternoon.

Coaches had a little bit of a falling out several years ago about a summer league. That was about the time Kountze started a downward spiral. The last 12 years would not have been good for Kountze had they played Silsbee. Hypothetically speaking (which is what this entire thread is about, hypo) I say Silsbee would be 5 point favorite.

We will have to pay all that money to state employees who will be overrun with responsibility? Economy of scale is a real thing. FEMA needs some retooling. My bet is the states would prefer to not have that responsibility. The governors won’t have the Federal Government to blame when their state by state policies mess disaster victims up. Not politically expedient.

I’m not assuming that at all. What I’m stating is that DEI initiatives were a route for minority surgeons (and pilots, and pretty much anything else) to get jobs over more qualified counterparts. That’s not debatable, it’s fact. I want the best surgeon, regardless of race. But I dang sure don’t want a lesser surgeon that got the job BECAUSE of race, which is what DEI accomplished.

Mine was jacked up due to an email I used that was longer in use after crash. There was an issue, I was admin before crash and then got lost in shuffle. I think you are reading way too much here. I pointed it out only to show the turn around BC made with their three point shooting. IMO, it was the difference in the game. 6/7 from three in 3rd Q got them back in it. In fact, the 6 three's in 3rd was their only made shots in that quarter. BC defense was stout tonight as well. Vidor didn't have too many open looks at three's. (2/17) It was a very good win for Bridge City. (there's your positive)

We will play anybody that is willing to play. We likely will be in the state championship in basketball also and we have two players that don't play basketball. This means we likely don't have a baseball team until March. We will have a few day practice before we play our first district game. Our schedule has nothing to do with a lack of desire for hirer competition I can promise you that. Everybody is in district by the time we get started therefore nobody wants to play extra games during their district schedule with pitch counts being a factor. Nobody wants to play on Saturdays either. We played Garrison at 4:30 and Chester at 7:00 on the same night last year just to get some decent games in. We will play anybody that wants to come to our place on the night we have a district game and we will make it a double header. We will play anybody on a Saturday. People see us play and they have no clue the things we have overcome to get there. We miss more than half our season and have absolutely no pre-season year in and year out.
