Do I think there was some effort to take advantage of and exploit the covid rule exceptions. To be fair, Galveston looked horrible for 3 1/2 quarters. Totally different team. BH broke their spirits. BH needs to contain the running game and they will be fine.

Angleton wasn’t able to run against La Porte. They burnt LP up with long passes to their tall, speedy WR’s. I seem to remember y’all’s secondary being better cover guys than LP’s. It will depend on if y’all can stuff the run like LP did. Angleton’s D is pretty stout. They were keying on Barnes, and Simon was an unknown to them. So, he had a big day to the tune of 351 yards and 4 TD’s. (Of course, he’s also a special player—freshman or not.) Y’all are gonna have to scrounge for yards. It may be a lower scoring game than what you think. But, I think you’re in-line with the low Crosby score. I’m thinking somewhere closer to 21-7 if y’all’s pass D can hold up. The Angleton QB likes to just launch it & LP missed a couple fairly easy INT’s y’all may be better able to get. Not that you’ll be able to score off them. But, it could take possessions away from them & keep the score within a pretty big upset range. Good luck to both teams, and come away injury free & PO ready.

I am a retired coach also, i hope this doesn't make my point invalid because i don't have 2 State Championships, only a couple of district championships, but from where I was sitting it looked liked the runner got in on the first or second try, which was missed by the official. It should have never got to 4th down. I am sure you couldn't see that looking through those rose colored glasses. As a retired coach, especially one with 2 State Championships, I am really surprised you decided to take this up on a message board.

So, file a complaint with TASO because complaining about it on here isn’t going to accomplish ANYTHING…which you should KNOW being a retired coach with 2 State Championships and all.

At least they didn’t rob him twice…
