  2. Thanks for all the prayers. Last I heard he had regained feeling below the waist. Still building strength to walk on his own. He also had a special surprise as some of the Houston Texans visited Texas Children's Hospital on Halloween. [Hidden Content]

  4. Very interested in the Freshman Phenom Macie Bryant. She is one of the top pitchers in the USA in the class of 2027.

  7. Very true. But what I ve mentioned has been in the works for awhile i know the border has been a mess here lately but we should’ve been rejecting entry to certain people a long time ago. These college students are clueless and universities have no standards

  8. The most dangerous game of the 4 will be BH versus Lancaster. Lancaster is finally healthy and rolling. Of all the teams in your district, BH is the one that is built to beat them. But BH is going to have to play a solid and consistent game to put them away. I see BH winning by 14-21. If they let Lancaster hang around or have trouble with Lancaster's talent, it could be interesting. The only thing that could change that is if Lufkin pulls the upset tonight which would surprise me.

  12. Same for Bellville… They didn’t play well in game 2 that they lost to La Vernia last night missing 6-7 serves BUT it was still good for them to face some adversity for a change

    District 10-4A D2 Update

2-2 last year… Sealy somehow beat Jasper. To be blunt Bellville is the only team in our district that has a shot at getting a win next week, But then again I didn’t see Sealy beating Jasper last year either. But yalls district SHOULD win at least 3/4

  17. EC made a defensive adjustment after that first OF drive and the Bobcats struggled offensively the rest of the way. Bucs speed on offense was just too much for Orangefield and EC's run game was pretty impressive. The freshman QB for EC will be a good one in the coming years. I see EC getting past Westwood next week but not sure Orangefield can get by Woodville. EC will have to defend the pass extremely well next week. I see them trying to use up clock offensively to keep Westwood offense on the sidelines. Woodville will utilize their team speed like EC did to gain an advantage over Orangefield but the Bobcats will have to play keep away too if they have any chance next week. But for tonight, EC was the much better team and the scoreboard showed it.

    Jasper at Silsbee

Yeah mayne Jay was a bad boy. When I was a corporate sales manager for Enterprise Rent A Car around 2006, I worked with a few guys who played with Jay at U of H. They had alot of good stories from the old SWC days.

  25. I agree with this assessment but hoping for a Cinderella story for BH. I believe if LaPorte can sustain long drives and keep the football away from the opposing offense, they can sneak up and beat many a playoff team. PAM, it depends on who shows up. You take away the swag, you get what BH did to them last Friday. They have to find a way to keep it for 4 qtrs. Good luck to all from District 8.

Splendora is still a haul. Around 1:40 or more from Mid-County depending on traffic.

  28. After watching the district play out this year I’ll give my non-biased opinion. Barbers Hill can make it 3 rounds for sure because they are the most complete when healthy. PAM has a lot of talent but something is missing. You can’t come out struggle with teams you should dominate and then turn on the switch. They get off to that signature slow start in the playoffs, it could be over before you know it. LaPorte is scrappy, tricky, and doesn’t back down so it depends on their matchup, but a disciplined defense that stays home could give them fits. Then it’s whoever faces Longview(Porter), you guys had a good season! Good luck to all and don’t take it personal, is just an opinion. 2-2 maybe 1-3.

  30. I mean, who else are they hurting? A team with that level of talent that is currently undefeated shouldn’t be racking up unsportsmanlike penalties. It’s a sign of a team that lacks discipline and character… both of which will be needed for the six playoff games. My guess is they’ll hit some adversity in week three or four and implode. Serious white guy take… Most teams wish that they had the potential that Silsbee squanders on an annual basis. On talent alone Silsbee should lead their series with West Orange over the last thirty years. But don’t take my word for it… the Silsbee faithful will argue all day long that Patrick Reed was a far better qb than the mighty Jack Dallas. But Jack played in three state championship games and Reed was more of a ringmaster than a quarterback.
