I think everyone has an off game against the Pirates. You see these smallish young men during warmups then they come out and start cutting, miss direction, and then boom big pass play. Then every kid on that team gives everything they have for the coach. The style of play is just different. I’ll always refer to what the service academies do against the bigger schools on Saturday. It’s very difficult to prepare for. Kudos to that coach, he’s a difference maker.

3 losses doesn't doom them. But with the Crosby win over PNG, they would have to lose to BH and Nederland. and Vidor/Crosby would then be worried about a third 3 loss team. For instance PNG could have 3 losses if they lose to Nederland, or Nederland could lose to Bh/Crosby/PNG and then they'd have 3 losses. Seems like a super even year, and we will see if BH is head and shoulders above or if they are just slightly ahead. I think 4 losses is the eliminator. Vidor has played the toughest district schedule so far.

No offense intended, of course. Have you seen the new turf on our diamond? A GOOD coach will make difference in year one if talent is static and the kids/community buy in.... the improvement is more noticeable if the previous coaching was subpar. It's also laughable when an outgoing coach wants to take credit for the new coach's success.... I've seen it happen.

BH QB definitely was having an off game against Vidor especially in the 2nd quarter. I couldn’t figure out if it was all him or the receivers were not running the routes correctly . This isn’t the 1st game where things seemed a little off, but the BH coaches seem too reel him in when things don’t click. I’ve seen him throw fantastic passes then miss someone by 5 yards. BH definitely has to clean that up, but the kid is a gamer and does a good job running the O.

Nope, some of us got put on nights for the week and are just wakeing up.

Sure it takes good coaching, but there are many other things. Tradition is often overlooked. It brings the kids buying in and fan support. WB was fortunate enough to start off with a great Coach who won State & started tradition. The Mid-County schools have had winning traditions, and tons of fan support, forever. What has South & North Bmt had? SP & French - Ozen & Central - now BU. Kids probably have trouble remembering what school they are at. Hopefully though, they’ll come together and build tradition, despite the obstacles.

You can tell Crosby fans are worried because I have to keep digging this off the second page. Maybe we turn GURU back on and let him brighten up the post with classics like “ You Trash” or “BH turable”. 😃.

Coldspring and Crockett will be one to watch

Fine we’ll take LCM, BC and Lumberton next year. It would be nice to have some rivals that we can beat year in and year out. This will probably be our last time playing Ned in district so you can have them all to yourselves. Same goes for PNG like you said, it’s time to move on. It’s very possible that Crosby could take this, but it would require the Eagles to beat themselves IMO. The Eagles have played pretty smart this year, so I wouldn’t count on them imploding now. Plus there is only one team that BH enjoys beating more than Dayton and that would be the Coogs! I look for BH to be jacked going into this game!
