One i remember was something out of bounds on the Ned side. Moved the ball up from 8 to 23. And what did we do? Tried a deep shot into double coverage for an interception. This is our style of shooting ourself in the foot. Take a gift and squander it. 3 drives stalled inside the 5... 14-6 LV better than this

My pick for PNG is an unashamed homer pick. I think this is a 50/50 game. La Porte has three big strengths: (1) o-line La Porte’s o-line is elite. They’re playing like PNg’s o-line from last season. PNG’s o-line is just good, but not at La Porte’s level. (2) Simon Simon is going to be a problem, especially if we can’t get a lot of guys around him. (3) consistency This is probably their biggest strength. They aren’t perfect, and they have long stretches of their last two games where they fall off the wagon. But they’re really good at snapping back to executing how they’re supposed to execute. They don’t get rattled. The key for PNG is going to be creating balance on offense — I don’t think we win if we have to win on the ground, but we have to run enough to keep the passing lanes open. I think the most important thing for PnG is for the defense to continue their big step forward from last season. If we can get the defense off the field and get something going offensively, we can make things interesting. overall, I’m less interested in the score (of course I’d want to win) than in how we play. We need a tough preseason game to get us ready for district and the playoffs, and a little humility wouldn’t hurt. If we lose this game but learn things that makes us lethal down the road, I’m thrilled. Still, a win would also be nice.

DCTF wrapped up their Monday podcast by saying how much they were looking forward to this game to learn a lot more about these two teams.

Always with the negative "ifs" and "maybes". I can counter that. IF the Astros play like they did in June, they MAYBE win the division by 6 or more games.

I have no idea how those accusations from last year didn't amount to anything. It blew up on tik tok. I hate to think it was the name, but it's hard not to think that. Looks like they are throwing the book at him this time. I will say Mr. Boykin, his Grandfather, was a good man. I had the pleasure of several good conversations with him. When he was older, retirement age, and very, very wealthy, he would still work on his tractor clearing land. A true country boy.

If the Astros keep playing like they are now these last 18 games, they may be sitting at the house during the playoffs

I forgot that the previous coach for Lee resigned in June of this year. Not enough time to hire a good coach. So, this looked like a buddy deal to someone on his staff. So, having 79 points scored against you sounds like karma! Unfortunate for the kids that this hire went down this way. Just my opinion! -
The qb has a decent arm and they have a shifty running back. A spread offense probably would help them even if they didnt throw much out of it. Spreading the defense is the key imo

Hardin county is going to end up with egg on their face on this one. the "new charges" they're pursuing are from a report filed over a year ago from a woman who claims he did basically the exact same thing to her as he did to this woman. The woman from a year ago also made a series of tik toks about it. I'd be seriously looking into legal representation if I were her. It's pretty amazing how nothing was done for a year, but when people start talking crap about Hardin Co on facebook they suddenly decide to charge him?

Crosby’s not the ones you have to worry about. Its your neighbors to the east. GCISD should have never let their athletics get this bad. Too many talented kids from Baytown. Glad GCM is on upward trend. Hopefully they fall to 5A D1 next alignment. -

Feeling fine so far. Feel like the area's of Lufkin's inexperience and youth will all be playing well by district. Pleased with the depth this team has, especially on offense. Varsity is dressing out 64 players, that includes 9 sophomores and a freshmen. Abseck said he would play the best talent he had regardless of the classification, and so far that has been his path. The implementing of the new defensive and offensive schemes have steadily improved each game. Lufkin learned much in the Longview game, there is not a single team in 9-5A that compares to them, maybe not in all Region III. They are a tough 6A out at their home field, don't let the 41-16 score fool you, it was 28-16 when they scored two TD in the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter, no running the clock in Longview. No doubt in my mind this district race has some parity and will be highly competitive between those the top four mentioned, even Ball, we can't leave them out. Thankful to have BWB, PAM and Ball games in Lufkin this year.

Angleton will be on the road again this week playing Foster in a Saturday game. This is a familiar matchup since the two schools were in the same district for many years and played each other twice in 2017 in district and in the regional finals. Foster played a close game in the playoffs last year, losing to Katy Jordan 22-14. They are picked to finish 3rd again this year in 20-6A. I watched their game last week against Seven Lakes which they lost 7-0 due to excessive penalties and turnovers. Angleton has already had 11 players carry the ball. according to the stat page. Altogether they have 57 carries for 572 yards. I was glad to see that in the rivalry game with Brazoswood, I didn't see a lot of animosity or personal fouls like in some years between these two teams. Brazoswood in their second year under coach Luster has improved, but then Angleton is better this year too.

I imagine OF is a good bit better than Kirbyville and Buna… So these 3-4 TD wins by Bridge City I don’t believe will be a thing
