I consider any city/town within a 35-mile radius of Beaumont to be in Southeast Texas. The first overall state championship in any sport dates back to 1925, when Beaumont High (formerly Beaumont Central) won the basketball title, and the last State Championship was in 2025, when Beaumont West Brook won.
