Houston giving up 7 runs against the Yanks and still winning is saying something. NY had the best team ERA in baseball coming into this game.

W in the Bronx. If Espada is really out after the season, he is still auditioning for future managerial positions. He won't quit on players that pushed for him to get the job a few years ago. May question his decisions, but he's a baseball guy. He cares. -

That’s not funny at all.

EC on this one. Jasper might have size on them, but those Bucs got some fight. EC by at least 2 TDs.
-
Barbara Mandrell was very talented. She could sing, dance, and she played 5 instruments as I recall. Dolly had a great personality. I believe I read where she wrote “I will always love you” to Porter when she left his show. Dolly had a hit with that song and Whitney Houston made it almost a national anthem.

What has happened to UIL
5GallonBucket replied to 5GallonBucket's topic in High School Track & Field/Cross Country
I know that it is dangerous. I just got a bone to pick I guess cause I train and educate my kids on knowing their body, drinking plenty thru out the day. I have them running during the hottest times of the day for acclimation. For them it s a let down to train only for the cc meet to be canceled and I foresee most being canceled….setx is a wet bulb. -

Porter Wagoner’s show was must see tv. He came to XIT Rodeo more than once. Brought the Mandrell sisters along. The only female/s my dad thought was hotter than Barbara Mandrell was the Rockettes. (Ann Margaret was close.) 😅 Dolly came to XIT in 1980. Went back just to see her.

Heat exhaustion is extremely dangerous. All outdoor sports will be affected. This is a way to hold schools and coaches accountable. And also not be responsible if something happens during acceptable conditions. -

deGROM is probably finished after that pitiful 1st inning, Langford struggling too. - Yesterday

I find this whole wet bulb thing a joke. too many soft people the Weather is no different than it was last year the year before 20 years ago etc etc. I don’t foresee any CC meets taking place this year unless they have them early Saturday morning. almost everyone of ours is scheduled for wed between 1 and 4 likes it been for I don’t know how many years. Nothing changed but some so called guru infiltrating UIL. Is football affected by this as well?

For a specific union. Longshore and harbor workers. I don’t know if the Teamsters had a dog in that hunt.
-
Jasper will be respectable especially compared to last year. They need more time and experience to get where they belong. EC at home in a close game. Js UP 🧢
-
Agree. I think its' a great test for both programs actually. A) tells us if Jasper is improved and ready to be respected again b) is EC improved and a threat in 3AD1 region III ?
-
In bold: He transferred to Memorial last year but went back to EC, was a stud at EC before he got to us.
-
Jasper. They’ll be much bigger and will have a better chance of dominating the LOS.
-
I may stand corrected from my last comment. I did not know EC got a QB transfer from Barbers Hill, athlete from Port Arthur Memorial with D1 offers, and athlete back from Manvel with D1 offers. That's a big deal for a small school like EC. Jasper should have the advantage up front on both sides. Maybe it's a toss up. We'll see Friday.
-
I got Jasper in this one. I do think the new coaching staff will have Jasper significantly better and more prepared than last season. Now, I do not think they'll be on the top end of 4AD2 by any means, but I do think they'll beat EC. Jasper should have more all-around size and athletes on the field as they should. EC has a couple guys that can really go, but Jasper should field the average Jasper team this year which is normally a descent, respectable team. Who do I want to win? East Chambers!
