I'm serious with what i'm about to say. For those kids that really want to play, UIL should allow a special no wait clause for them to go to PAM, but that would have to happen like today. The 10 that showed up, 1 or 2 might have real talent and deserve a chance to be looked at for scholarships

It wouldn't matter unless there was an actual game between the 2. Buna supposedly beat Newton in a scrimmage last year according to some posters but only loonies would think Buna would've beaten them in a game.

Are they "capable of scoring against Crockett"? We haven't seen them do that at the "current level this year".

A lot of things can change in one offseason… I saw it in Bellville last year. And that was with keeping the coaching staff in tact… The juniors on that state finals team that lost to Gilmer were the more talented class than the seniors.. 3 D1 kids… but they had 0 leadership. Combine that with injuries and a region favorite was bounced in the second round last year. So many factors in high school football

So possibly lose a quarter of a million dollars in state funding for a very small district in order to go to a lower football classification?

I think the UIL is aware and concerned about transfers...but putting a policy in that the schools, the state and the courts will agree to is a delicate dance...

I honestly do enjoy your stuff and your counterpart. No joke. I just wish someone would cover the problematic issues to get more attention to the UIL. Word I am getting is that Sabine Pass is canceling all their non-district games but hopes to be able to field a team for district games. High Island is indeed canceling their season but will play a Middle School season. @Bigdog @Matthew328

Both Sabine Pass and High Island struggled to finish the season last year. Looks like that carried over to this season.
