Tickets are on sale at 8 a.m. for those that can't wait any longer! 🤣 [Hidden Content] Yes, the seating is split. In the Border Battle sellout, they did move the bands and drill teams onto the track area where more seats could be sold. Yes, the stadium is also for UIL track competitions, UIL band contests, and other events. The stadium had to fit in the same footprint as old Bulldog, and allow for handicap seating, and UIL track--hence the seat amount. The cost of the stadium includes the entire complex with the Legacy Center--not just the stadium. The Border Battle ALWAYS sells out. It would sell out in a 20,000 seat stadium. La Porte AND Deer Park fans were turned away. Deer Park just likes to gripe about anything La Porte because they have an inferiority complex. They are the definition of football 'Karens.' Yes, parking is far from optimal since the stadium is on campus. There is also some current construction for other parts of the bond that was approved that is affecting some parking areas.

I don't know what WOS has but I went to La Vega to watch their first Saturday practice in full pads. Unfortunately, not much hitting just special teams work and pix. I spoke with their hc Coach Hyde I believe and congratulated him on last year where they lost at Jerry World to Carthage. They actually played a good game and kept it close for a while. He didn't want to hear that. If its the same qb as last year (i think it is cause I saw him at practice) he is built like a refrigerator with great feet but he thinks he is Dan Marino. He doesn't realize the damage he could do on running-- maybe he's more confident this year. Glad i don t have to feed him.

No Saturday games this year. They do have the games on LPSportsNET YouTube, and TexanLive did cover the Kingwood game. Apparently, they've come to an agreement to allow DCTF/TexanLive to broadcast also. But, the coverage was minimal with very little graphics, as far as down, time, quarter, etc. LPSportsNET still has the full-blown graphics, replays, etc. & is still free.

Kingwood (28) @ La Porte (34) - FINAL
Coachbearoso replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Yes, Kingwood has turned it around last year. I don't know the head coach, but he obviously knows what he is doing. I kind of figured that he would doing what Koch did at Houston Memorial. I know Clayton Maple, he was a bright eyed youngun when I was in my 40's, but he is at Kingwood Park. Does La Porte have any Saturday games? I would love to see them, but Thursday and Friday I am reffing central Texas and then Saturday morning i ref full padded 6 man football btw Waco and Cleburne. They have a league. They combine 2-3 graders, then 4-5 graders. Awesome to watch and ref. Friday I did a 6 man in Waco. It was Waco Home School team vs Bryan College Station. Awesome athletes- qb 6'3" on both teams and can go. FG kickers blasting it from outside of 40. Some of them will play small college. I never went to Jerry World on Day 1 to watch 6 man, but I will this year -
Sean Simon against Kingwood: 217 yards, 2 TD's Season Totals Through 2 Games (Both Games against 2024 6A Playoff Teams who are loading the box): 505 yards, 4 TD's The young man is special.

Hopefully, parents of players and supporters throughout the community will start voicing their thoughts and concerns to the superintendent and school board members.

You act like Ned didn't have any penalties, they did. Some that were badly timed as well. Part of the game.

West Orange-Stark (6) @ Nederland (14) - FINAL
WOSdrummer99 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Yes -
The X factor is Silsbee’s passing game. Run defense has been good for Ned, and I don’t expect them to struggle too much unless Silsbee can keep the ball moving through the air. We haven’t yet had to see how Ned deals with a strong qb. I think this one will be higher scoring just because I think Nederland is going to figure out some more offense, but I’m going with Silsbee, 38-31.

I guess I’m late to the table, but I just now realized what y’all may be talking about. Is that the volleyball team that hasn’t won a game (until last week) since 2021? -
