Huffman just beat GCM and are 6-2 only losses are to St. Thomas and Oak Ridge.

Good point. Huffman was good last year and looks to go deep this year.

I wish Huffman would have played BC and Silsbee in the preseason bc only makes you better.

Huffman typically only plays 4a and 5a teams before district, however they will play 4th ranked sweeny on Monday.

BC and Silsbee are better than a lot of those 4a and 5a teams that Huffman is playing...IMO

Never said they weren't, but Huffman has played some good teams. New Caney won 26 games last year, St Thomas is very good, klien Forrest was .500 in probably the most difficult district in the state, and GCM. Its not like Huffman is loading up on cupcakes.

1.BARBERS HILL (7-5)  Starting to wonder if they are not the High School version of Duke basketball, great pedigree, in the conversation every year, but getting a pass when it comes to results.
2.PNG (8-2) Probably playing the most complete baseball of anyone right now.
3.GOOSE CREEK  (4-2)
4.LIVINGSTON LIONS (8-1)
5.LCM (8-4) Did Brenham tournament expose them?

1. PNG
2. Livingston
3. Huffman
4. ?
5. ?
Pick 2 out of Silsbee, BC, LCM, Barbers hill. Too close to call. Haven't seen GCM so it's tough to vote on them.

BH playing one of the toughest 5A schedules as of now, to be 7-5 at this point is pretty good.  Winning all but 2 games going into the 5th inning, they need to learn to finish the game. Will say they don't have the depth to go 5 games in 3 days,  but not many teams do.  Don't look at just records, look at the schedule.  PNG and BH play their 2nd game of the year at PNG Monday night. BH won the 1st game this past Friday 4-2, it was a good game.

The one thing PNG is doing well is playing team ball in every aspect. Each game someone different seems to step up. Everyone doing there job when called upon along with a very solid pitching and defense. 20-4a is going to be a fun to watch.
