I'm sure your era of 0.00 will end tomorrow against kelly. Assuming that you are jeffcoat due to your emotional response to my post earlier.

Give the kid a break. Im glad to hear he is throwing against Kelly. It's going to give the kid a challenge, something to battle through. It's still early so layoff of him.

Yes, that is true anything can happen. Im sure HF will have a good run as well, but Jeffcoat has to be consistently on when he takes the hill. Lets face it, he seems to get frustrated extremely easily and when i was attending one of Hamshire Fannett's scrimmages, he gave up a homerun and to me it looked like he fell apart extremely quickly. And if i remember correctly he hit the next batter. Pitching depth will be key for HF

Not really sure why you pointed out Jeffcoat?  But H-F has many great pitchers at the moment.  I have seen all of their games so far.  Jannise threw very good against Lumberton, struggled a little early with control against buna though but came back and threw strong.  Jeffcoat may have struggled in the scrimmages, but considering all the time that everyone had with the rain he never threw bad. Jeffcoat had a no hitter against Kville, he through very good and our defense and offense backed him up.  Both sophmores Herring and Johnson had very good games. Herring threw to Coldspring the team that knocked HF out of the playoffs first round last yr and he had a shut out.  Johnson had a no hitter to buna going into the 6th, and that was even after his playoff run with the basketball team ended. Jeffcoat ended up relieving him later and picked up a save.  Brooks came in the 7th against Buna Monday who was also on the basketball team and his stuff was pretty nasty.  I am still waiting on Wendling to make a comeback to the mound.  He threw very good his sophmore year and hope to see him soon.  So I believe the pitching staff is going to be just fine it is very deep with a few other relievers.

In my opinion
BC
Silsbee/HF
Orangefield/HJ
WOS

I strongly agree feel like HF and Silsbee will split games like last year.

I don't think the object of the thread was just to list all the teams that make up 21-3A.... ;D
[/quote]
No it was to rank them on how they will finish. I am glad you figured that out.

Yes, the only two that could go either way is WOS/Silsbee. HF is really strong. What is really scary is all their starting pitchers so far this year are not even seniors (with the excepton of wendling who has been injured). So I see them possibly finishing 1st for several years to come. These kids playing now have grown up with ford park complex in their back yard and you can see the training is really starting to pay off. That Hicks player who started at Varisity last year as a freshman is lighting it up this year. Had a walk off grand slam the other night against buna. Baseball at HF is strong.

BC has first wrapped up. They are ranked like 2nd in the state and have 3 D1 players. The best HF or anyone else in the district can hope for is 2nd.

Whoa now....nothings "wrapped up". Bridge City has a wayyyyys to go before they wrap anything up so lets not jump to comclusions. And yes hf and hj have gotten off to strong starts, but against inferior opponents. Have you ever watched baseball before? Theres no way hf finishes first.

My point is this Bridge City is always loaded.  I am very close to several of their young athletes and I know they have three (3) D1 commits for baseball already this season.  They also have several underclassmen that can and will compete.  They will be a contender for first place (barring any injuries) and I know they have one on DL right now.

Silsbee is loaded with underclassmen talent, and you can ask Jannise, Burgason, Hicks for sure know what kind of talent Silsbee has.  They will compete with the best in this district for the next three years!

HF does have some very good talent, I know and have been associated with the three listed above.  This team is very scrappy and will compete...... I am just not real sure of the pitching depth they have now and in the future.

OF, I know several of their players and they are competitive and I believe they will develop well.  I really respect their coach and I think he will do some great things with this program.

WOS, I don't know alot about their program and their new coach but I know WOS is loaded with athletes.  Just don't see them competing well this season.

HJ, I know several of the young guys in this program and they are very talented.  Just have to wait and see what they really have around them.

My projections:

BC
Silsbee
HF / HJ
OF
WOS

JMO...........
