1. Obvioulsy WOS stark will cruise by this district with the only thinkable chance of getting beat would be by Silsbee. That being said, It will be a very tight race for the third spot in this district WOS Silsbee HF BC Buna HJ
2. Almost no way in the WORLD  HJ will make it to playoffs this year. The 21-3A district is loaded
3. It will definitely be a defensive battle, The Chain Gang vs. Harris's Hamshire Heroes. Not much offense for either of the teams but this game has the possibility to open so many peoples eyes as to the potential that HF has. Now, I'm not saying they will make it to playoffs but when you got 0-10, 1-9, and 2-8 in that last 3 seasons winning 2 out of the first 4 games is eye opening. But after a 2-2 start already this season the Horns are playing with so much passion and pride that the community has brought to them that I would be surprised if this game doesn't go down to the wire.
4. I could be going a little crazy but I think HF will lose by 3
5. I would like to see who everyone has this week to win. Most probably think it will be a blowout, but personally I think HF MIGHT hang
6. If EC takes it to the Hawks like they did last week against the Horns, then i have the Bucs by over 30. Take the running game away, and HJ might have a chance ::)
7. The bad thing about it is that they have so much potential but yet like the HF culture has been for the past 5 years, the parents are getting in the way and not letting the coach do his job. When you come out and throw an interception on the first play of the game the coach is going to want to make a change pretty quickly. He put the freshman in the game and the other players need to accept the fact that he is a solid athlete and not play the freshman string on him, they need to respect him as a player. On another note, the HF offense needs to work on the blocking ordeal they have going on with that O-Line. If they could hold a block they could work more around the run based game, which is where they are the strongest on because Brown is not getting to show his finest stuff because he is running into a sea of Defensive players because his linemen can't hold a block. As for the defense, they have a good depth to them but they need to form tackle more often because personally what I saw at the game against Splendora was arm tackles and shoulder tackles. One more thing I would like to touch on is the young man that sacked the QB in the game and caused a fumble. Granted to him that it was a good sack but if he hadn't got so fired up about it he might have realized that the QB fumbled the football and he had the prime opportunity to pick it up and run with it and possibly score a TD which could have possibly resulted in a different outcome of the game.
8. Personally, before Friday nights game against Splendora I had them at 3-7 by the end of the season. But with the loss against Splendora I think the Horns will have another upsetting 1-9 season in their future
9. There were 262 homeruns this year, and still counting. Correct me if I'm wrong but i believe that there were over 550 last year. Significant change in the two years and the change in bats didn't help out much at all.
10. The only reason that HF lost against silsbee is because of errors yet again in the infield. Jeffcoat got on the mound and threw great. He walked a few batters but his off speed pitches left silsbee way off balance. Errors have been the problem throughout district for HF and it looks to me like it still continues
11. HF is 0-4 in district play and tomorrow night they take on the silsbee tigers at HF's field. To have any chance at playoffs they are going to have to win the next 6 games in a row. Looks to me like they played a bunch of mediocre teams in preseason and got the big head and now they can't step up to the plate and get the job done. They have lost 4 district games, 3 of them which should have been wins. In the WOS game they made errors and couldn't get anything done at the plate. When they played HJ, Jeffcoat pitched great but had no defense behind him and yet again they could not get the job done at the plate. Against OF, they had a great chance to win it in extra innings but 2 errors in the eighth cost them that game. And tuesday night against Bridge City, HF hung in there for the first few innings with a score of 1 to 1 and then 2 errors made by HF brought across 2 more runs and it went down hill from there. They are going to have to bring all they have for the next 6 games. And if the rotation continues like it has been Jeffcoat will get the start tomorrow against Silsbee and for HF's sake he will do good again and actually have some kind of "defense" behind him which will lead them to a victory.
12. I believe Jannise from HF has 43 strikeouts or so. Not for sure on exact numbers or how many innings pitched
