Central is one of two teams that I have not seen play out of these two districts. BH's coaching staff is going to have to step it up and run a better offensive plan than they have for the past two weeks. The players will have to not make mistakes. This could be a very good game and I think Central fans might just be looking past this one.

I hope Cenral does overlook the Eagles! BIG MISTAKE!!!! BH will play Central tight and if they make any mistakes BH will make them pay. Central has a very talented team and could be the best team BH has played this year. I will say that if BH gets behind with Central like they did GP season over!!! We need a game plan for the 1st quarter!!!!! This is going to be a long week ,but after this week I think BH advances!

BH 35

Central 21

BH has been "out-athleted" in at least three games, but discipline, execution, defense and guts prevailed. This is going to be a tough one, that we cannot get behind in. There better be a lot of film review and prep. Against GP, we seemed to come out with the same off. plan as always. In fact, first play we ran was the hitch pass which was almost picked off for TD. Do we not think that opponents are watching our film????????? Save it for when we have their D stretched out! Regardless, its gonna be a war....can't wait!

I'm going for BH in this one. If they go out and play like they want to get further, they can pull it off.

Barbers Hill - 28

Beaumont Central - 21

I think we can't get behind early.......Yall can say our offense needs a better gameplan but I think we can't let someone score right out of the gates....I think we need to get momentum early and keep it.....Central is to talented to spot them points.....we need to play a clean game no turnovers or bad snaps.....also can't give up the big play on defense if we do the Galena Park Qb was a good player but Centrals is 2 times better and bigger.

Central embarsses BH and wins by 3 TD's. Central too big and too fast for BH. Good game for the first half and then all Central after that.

I feel like if its a good game 1st half.....then 2nd half will be better and BH has an edge. BH excells in the 2nd half. They have all year. Gonna be a great game to see. BH is not a slow team either if thats what your anticipating. Whole lotta speed over there as well. I understand that Central is bigger overall and they have certain expectations and its ok to be confident. But dont underestimate BH.

Central is a pretty solid favorite going into the game. They've got a good, athletic, and disciplined team, and they're pretty tough on both sides of the ball.

We are on the golden triangle board that is why they are the pretty solid favorite  Go over to the BH board I think they are picking BH over there

Even though we are in the same district After last nights game I KNow that BHIll can not stop williams. This is not Kirbyville in the playoffs anymore. If The GP quarteback had that big of a game then wow I hate to see what the boy from central can do.

Here are some stats for comparing these two teams. Offensively Central has gained almost 964 more yards than BH while only averaging 1.2 more points than BH.:lol:

Seriously, BH hasn't seen a team that has the talent Central brings to the field, and they will have trouble adjusting to what Central brings to the table -- they're a good, all around team. If it was a matter of just stopping one player or exploiting a weak offense or defense, that would be one thing; Central just has a lot of weapons. I'm not saying BH has no chance, but they certainly have an uphill climb on their hands.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
