Evadale is not just about the number of kids which is pretty incredible for a 1A program. It is about a very talented group of kids. Last year when the team won district there were 6 or 7 sopjomores and 4 or 5 juniors that started or were major contributors to the district title 3 of those played at least part of their fresjman year on the varsity squad.

Replacing players is difficult to open a season, but Evadale has a luxury that most of their district does not have. Sopomores that played JV have had two full seasons of playing time, freshmen one. Those players have gained game experience and are ready to take the next step up.

The other district schools have kids playing varsity that have not seen the field since they were in the eighth grade, except practicing against their own team. It may be JV, but these guys were winners for the past two years and when you combine that with the underclassmen from last years varsity squad you have a formitable team that will likely dominate the district once again.

Evadale will win its second title in a row this season.

Are you telling me folks shoudn't be spooky considering HD was a powerhouse starting back in the 1930's??!!  Good point Yeller, you didn't beat us last year and I doubt you will this year...Quit living in the past!        ..."feared by most and respected by all"...  whatever, maybe in the past, but not any more in Evadale!  Last years seniors showed the team how to win and this year the Rebs will continue to build on that.

I hope that clown stands up this year and hollers at our players again as they walk past,   "THEY DON'T KNOW, THEY DON'T KNOW BOUT THEM BOBCATS"...really got us fired up last year.

I know H-D isn't as dominant as they used to be, but when has evadale ever been in football? They are a good all around sports, but just cuz ya'll beat us last year doesn't make up for the lack of winning tradition in football. The district is mostly weak with a few decent teams but that's why the teams don't get out of the first round. Good luck to all teams but don't get too big headed after one win over H-D especially if they aren't great like ya'll say!

Blind dogs found a bone !!! David slew Goliath !!! Evadale Football what a joke !!! Nobody even knew Evadale had a football team until last year. Great job last year.

the district as a whole is down from what it used to be but thier is a huge gap between the 3 teams everyone keeps bringing up and the other teams with the exception of HI they are closing the gap but still not on the same level as WH, HD, and Evadale

What do you mean about HI?

What do you mean about HI?

He is talking about HIGH ISLAND and they are closing the gap somewhat but dont think they quite have the talent the top teams have in this Dist. That is mostly due to the # of kids in that school. They are just smaller and dont have the #s to pick from

this is true. we lost many kids due to hurricane ike, we dont expect pity, or for anyone including ourselves to use that as an excuse. High Island is closing the gap in our district and expect for us not only to fight for a spot in the playoff, but for a district championship within the next few years...We may have lost our houses. but not our pride lol  ;D ;D ;D

Making the playoffs for High Island is very poss. if one of the top 3 teams over looks them they could get beat. H-I played Evadale a good game for the first half but seemed to get tired, and they just did not have the bench last year but now that they will be able to play on Friday night in stead of Sat. Day. will help them. Good luck this year.

      That TDS is really flaring. Now do Biden. You have way, way, way more material. And keep that bitter "you are better than me" jealousy tone you have with Trump.       I have a better one. The point that nobody wants to acknowledge is that Dems are crossing over to vote Trump in the primaries and in the general so he will win the presidency. That way Trump will get the blame when the Dems implement their sinister plan to deport all of the minorities in the country. They have already laid the groundwork...convincing everyone that Trump and Republicans are racist (without providing any proof). Then it will be just a matter of time to execute their White supremacy plan of the great purge of the dirty, unwashed, heathen, non-Whites that roam freely in this country. I think my theory is more viable than your theory. Maybe we can get some other ridiculous scenarios so we can start a poll.

      But that’s what Trump’s fanboys don’t understand.  When he talked about sexually assaulting women, y’all laughed it off as “locker room talk.”  When it was proven that he raped E. Jean Carroll, you cried that it was all an injustice… a lie. Even though he’d already confessed to doing the same thing to other women.  John McCain has suffered and sacrificed more for his country than practically anybody, except possible gold star families… and Trump called him a loser or something to that effect. “Oh, it was a joke that no one was supposed to take seriously.” But when Trump, after disrespecting the sacrifices of one of our most valiant, y’all are like “just because Trump didn’t go to Omaha Beach doesn’t mean he isn’t pro military!” Really? All you have to do is listen to what he said about McCain’s service. Not McCain as an opponent, not McCain’s political views… about the fact that the man was tortured, probably raped, and who knows what all else for over five years for swearing an oath and putting on the uniform.  But all of y’all supposedly “pro military” people just laughed along with Trump. “Good one, Sir! Filthy Rino!”  I don’t understand how the same people (y’all) who probably always say “thank you for your service” to any veteran still support a guy who craps on the ones who suffered the most on our behalf.  It’s baffling.

If you died today, I would be remiss if not attributing your cause of death to severe TDS, and of course, Covid. Look at that. I just made a joke about your death. You did not get offended. Nobody was offended. Not one person will accuse me of being hateful towards fellow human beings. But yet, you hate Trump because he made a similar crude comment about McCain. You tried to attribute that comment as evidence Trump hates the military. What grade level of schoolchildren do you think is laughing at you for that "less that adolescent" (hint, hint) comment. You used one crude comment in an attempt to justify your TDS. Now, when called on it, you try to deflect the whole topic. You are certainly not having any fun with this, but you sure are providing entertainment for the board. It's a shame you can't join in on the fun. I think even Big Girl might be to the point of giggling at the shamelessness you are exhibiting.
