With all the talk about beating silsbee and wos, try to objectively look at it this way: how many players at hj would start for silsbee or wos? How many at wos or silsbee would start at hj?

According to the timeline on the job posting, he will only have the month of May to get in his program.

hey 55, didn't hd have a bye in the first round.

Remember wins and losses are not always a good indication of a coaches ability. Did Lovie Smith all of a sudden get dumb.  No his talent level wasn't up to some of his competition.  Not saying that this was the case with Coach Martel, but remember hj has six or seven playoff appearances in history with three in a row at one point and one with Martel as the boss.  He certainly turned it around this year and he leaves it heading in the right direction.

How many succeed at the next level? (Play out their time)

Does it matter!  All we heard last year after Silsbee beat HJ was that Silsbee had played a much tougher schedule and that made the difference.  Correct me if i am wrong, but didn't they both make it to reg tourn. and lose to the same team?  I think too much is being made about strength of schedule.

Joe has more experience than a couple of the coaches mentioned.  He has been an AD/Head Football coach.

Maybe they are referring to 7 first half possessions by wos, all inside the 50 and only 2 td's. 

Hey this isn't bad.  WOS punted on fifth down at the end of first half.  hj sacked qb on the 49, on 4th down, chains move, then wos punts.  No effect on the outcome but a 4 year old can count to 4!

Maybe those turnovers were FORCED by aggressive defense rather than sloppy offense?  Just a thought
