Keeping it real.  Can anyone give examples of things he has done that have kept the football program down? Anything!! Seems to me it is just personal.  Someone check my stats please.  I believe thru my research that HJ has only reached the playoffs 5 times in the history of the school. 

Would like to know what line of work the writer is in.  If it has anything to do with refineries or oilfields, he needs to be fired and replaced by someone who could bring our gas prices down.

JR. league football just played in the super bowl.  I believe that the other teams in the super bowl were deweyville, buna, and ?  LL is no indicator for high school success.  Why won't more of the bball players play football?  It would help, but you still would not beat wos, and in most years silsbee.

Yes it does include my opinion.  tell me, how many tool pushers, electricians, refinery workers(me) get their professional judgement questioned daily on the internet.  Dad was a coach by the way.

UN - FREAKIN - BELEIVABLE!!!!!!!  Undefeated district champs and a first round playoff victory and you closet coaches still complain and think you could do it better.  Before you say it, I know this is a public forum and you can post opinions.  But like I was always told, opinions are like aholes - everyone has them and most of 'em stink.  I have posted on here many times that I wish you naysayers could go ahead and become coaches to show the REAL ones how it is done.  Why not just say GOOD JOB and move on.  soapbox retired!!!

It is both.  It is more the jim's and joe's.  i do not know of a single offense designed not to score or of a defense designed not to stop someone.  If you think BC has average kids, you need to reevaluate your process of judging talent.  They have at least 5 kids on both sides of the ball that could start for anyone in district. 

Someone check my math: 3 way tie between bc, sil, and of: as of now: Silsbee + 2 can't change of - 8 bc +6 if of wins by 5, this makes it bc +1 Silsbee is the only one determined by points, then the heads up match determines the other playoff participant. If all 3 are decided by points then they would need to win by 7.  Do not know what the tiebreaker rules are for this district.

How many of Silsbee's BBall players are also playing football?  It seems that they can be very good in both sports every year.

I can agree with that JH.  But dont most coaches care about their kids.  They certainly are not doing it for the money and they spend a lot of time away from their families.  What makes them the best? Record? College opp. for players? Life lessons? Just trying to get a read on why the best and if other coaching staffs need to copy what they are doing.

I know Sutherland at EC will likely win a district championship.  How are the others stacking up?

I got your back JoHarr.  Right now WS is 2 - 0 in district and LL is 1 - 0.  WS is in first place. Will change Friday I believe.

HD55,  You repeatedly say that WH has one of the best coaching staffs in the area.  What do you base this opinion on?  Just wondering.

5 - 4!!  Not sure who wins.  This would refer to the unsportsmanlike penalties called in the game.  Big rivalry.

If you're honest with yourself, only one of OF's tds can be blamed on the coaches.  After the punt, OF ran a long TD while Jasper's D was still coming off the sidelines!!!!
