How many positions in bb.  How many do you work with at one time.  Both sports are great so we need to quit comparing this.  IMO, this is like the prop 48 quest for NCAA.  Even # scholarships - which girls sport needs over 50 participants to be successful.

When was the last time a teacher, or for that matter a basketball coach got fired for one bad season.  There are currently around 15 head football coaching vacancies.  As for the origional question, look at two 2A programs in the area - Kountze and East Chambers.

Just curious 2X2.  In those district losses, how many lost fumbles, interceptions, or missed tackles did coach have.

[/quote] I never said that they didn't have the athletes to win in football.  What I meant was, when did they ever have the best athletes on the field.  when were you able to look at it and say, wow, Nederland is bigger, faster, and stronger than every team in the district.  Athletes alone do not make district champs(ozen) but it helps.  Nederland has great kids and great athletes, just saying that they haven't been as athletically gifted as some of the teams in the district.

Which of those 20 years did he have the best athletes.  Nederland has always had good athletes(several that I would call great), but how many times have they been the most athletic team on the field. 

I thought that he had been in playoffs 16 out of 18 years.

Residency rules still apply for uil participation.

Unless you have an independent stat person at each game, then stats can be slanted.  Do you count how good the rb and wr block? Should you?  The only way you can change this process is to become a coach yourself and work to change the process to your liking.

I bet there will be changes.  However, to get a quality Football Coach, they are going to need to make this job A.D. also.  Yhat is the only way to get the money up.

How many personal fouls have been called against them.  Not the only measure of a dirty team, but it could give you an idea.

Noticed on the broadcast how bad the officials were.  The center for Ozen caught the pass on the bad snap in the 1st ot. 

How do you decide which rules to enforce?????

Thank the uil.  Don't disparage the teams though because they are playing within the rules of the system.

Each offense #s differently.  I was showing the diagram that I have always known.  0 and 1 are the trap #'s. You usually trap a 3 tech.  You also have the Wing t offense where the holes flip sides with the strong linemen and the weak linemen.  i was just trying to explain why I said they kept running to the 6 hole with know adjustment.
