It is legal in Texas as long as you line up 7 yards deep(scrimmage kick formation), have 7 men on the line of scrimmage, and only those not covered up on the line go down field.

He is a very good coach and will definitely be coach of the year in that diztrict. He did a very good job utilizing the extra 4 months while everyone else was n football.

I think it is funny that the guy wrote about the salary. I know that wasn't the point of the article, but he made it sound like a great salary. He stated the top end around $80,000. The top end is reserved for someone with at least 25 years experience. If you can name me one other profession that requires a college degree and after 25 years of work makes only $80,000 , I would like to know what it is.

Some just have the title and get by on the talent they're given. I agree with this but you also know rather or not the coach is blowing smoke by the results of your kids play on the field. If your kids on a quality select team, they're winning, and your kid is putting up good stats I'd say that speaks for itself. It's not hard to tell if your kid isn't doing well. Which is it, the kids or the coach! It seems like you're saying that success in high school is due to the athletes, while the success in select is due to the coach!

Check MAXPREPS and you will see that Copeland scored 41 against Spurger the first time around and his team lost. Maybe this game he tried to get his teammates more involved.

Does everyone in this district use the Beaumont chapter of officials? If so, stop calling them the school's officials.

The difference is in the managing of the numbers, not the football. I know more 1A and 2A coaches that could move to 5a easier than 5a coaches moving down. It is all great, but until you have to line fields, mow, kill ants, fix the mower, drive the bus, teach the classes, be the principal for a week while they are gone, do the laundry, etc., you don't understand how hard the coaches work at the lower classifications.

Has any local school ever won district championships in football, boy's and girl's basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and boy's and girl's track in the same SCHOOL year? Who has come the closest?

Why should they be made public? Applications are just inquiries about a job. Do those at Mobil who check into a job at Chevron have to have there applications released to the public? Once they become finalist, then it should be OK because the current school district will all know that the coach has applied. Remember schools are run by school boards and some might get upset and get rid of a coach if he applies for other jobs.
