However, MLB, NFL, and NBA have beenm given anti-trust exempt status which means that they can "corner a market" and not go against the law. Remember this is what got Bill gates in trouble. If you are getting special priviledges from the gov., then they should have the right to investigate you. IE. tax exempt status for schools and churches.

Goodwin had to be high point for all of the boys. He is also just a junior. 26' long jump and 50' triple!!!! Just his individual points(28) would have placed him 4th in the team standings. Add in his share of the relay points:8 and he jumps to third!

If you want to se impressive individual performances look at 5a boys: Rowlett and 1A girls: the team champion in 1A girls only had ONE participant and she is either a junior or a soph. By the way Goodwin from rowlett is a junior.

The umpire should have thrown him out of the game immediately if he threw equipment. If not you would think that the coach would have done it. I believe George would have chunked him!

After further research, 1A van horn (west Texas) would probably have to cancel football: shortest district trip: 204 miles longest: 281. I know that they already travel in West Texas, but their district now the long trip is at 150 miles and they have one of about 35 miles.

Deweyville's shortest trip in district would be 100 miles to San Augustine. OF would have 4 over 100 miles. Jr. high ball on Thursday, leave school at 3:00; 2 hour bus ride(arrive at 5:00); start 7th grade by 5:30; start 8th grade approx. 7:00; load bus to eat stale sandwiches 8:30(no time to stop for meal); arrive back at school at 10:30; wait 30 minutes for parents to pick up; home and in bed by 11:30; school 8:00am Friday. This would not be a good call by the UIL! I guess it will happen next realignment!!
