Checked the history:  25 years before Westfall - 5 playoff appearances 6 years with - 4 playoff appearances

2 1A'S AND 1 3A.  Not a bad schedule.  Always a hard fought game with both WH and H-D.

The name is a bad idea.  But talk about self-righteous,  how many raises have you turned down? How many times have you refused an honor?  When was the last time you went to your boos and told him that you were making too much money?

I agree that the name of the stadiium is wrong, but I am not going to say that if someone wants to name a building after me that I would tell them no. TEA website is very easy to access to see if BISD is recognized. 

Sorry for the diatribe!  First: You are being self rightous if you say that you would refuse the honor of having ANYTHING named after you.  If you live in Beaumont, vote in the next school board election and get rid of those you do not like.  If not, MOVE.   Second: Get off of the sup. for how much money he makes!!  How many times have YOU turned down a raise!!!! He has done many good things for BISD and some that people do not agree with.  The lawyer that spoke and called him names, I am sure that he has refused judgements in the past that he felt were too much money for him. Third: I am not in or from Beaumont.  I do not know Carroll Thomas.  I know Beaumont is a RECOGNIZED school district for the first time in many years.  It is just like when people complain about athlete salaries.  Do not blame the athletes, blame the owners and the fans!!! I have never met a person that went to the boss and asked to be paid less for the same job. Last: Horrible choice of a name: W.R.S. or bid it out to corporations.

Coach Peveto was a great coach.  But I am not sure you want to bring him up in this topic!  Didn't he beat Kountze 99 - 0 in football?

Anyone have the coaches records?  It would be interesting to see the records of all of the head coaches.

Westbury did game plan against it!  They tried to stall but Yates decided to foul.

I would like to have seen this board when HJ was scoring all thier points with the current director of the uil at the helm. I watched several games that they fouled just like Yates is doing.

I heard Liberty Hill was going to ditch the wing t in favor of the spread because they didn't win thier 3rd championship in a row. ::) ::) ::)

Seems to me the only appropriate answer would be to win the state championship since they were runners-up last year!

There are several sites that rank all the teams.  This is just based on one site "huddleuptexas.com". District 23-A statewide rankings: 83,84,99,123,126,152,146,155 averages out to 121. District 15-a is the next closest: Tolar - 50, deleon - 64, perrin-witt - 117, santo - 151, gorman 153, ranger - 157: average 115 So at least one source agrees that it is weakest.  However it appears that it was very competitive all year.
