With a plethora of DI jobs open..I find it hard pressed Capel would end up Lamar. If one of the "sources" is who I think it is, why don't we call Doug McCarter? LOL...He was once on the LU staff!

Alvin Brooks...YAWN...he already proved he can't be a head coach.

Search committee will have John Payton and others on it (im sure Tubbs). Will "begin search" after Final 4 but a source told me they already have one in mind.

As long as one particular person remains on the dept staff, the men's program is going to suffer. put it in ink.

The year before Giovanne left, a press conference was called to announce he was staying. It has happened before, but who knows. The political mess in that building is in full effect. Why some people are still on staff making over $100K and doing nothing is beside me...I am going to ask that today.

My gut (which is rather large these days) is that a press release will be sent out today that stating the university is supporting roc and he will return for the 2011-12 season. Just a hunch. If Lamar is strapped for cash, then why did they pull out of the South Dakota football game and now have to pay up? And why is Tubbs still making over a $100K?

This team nearly lost in the first round to NWST, should be playing for a shot at NCAA Title. In women's hoops, that's the tourney that matters. They have been playing under par the last few weeks....How many times last year did they have problems beating teams three times? They beat UTA 3 times last year (which is the only team they played 3 teams tho). Wrong time for bad play, but it's basketball. Hope Tidwell sticks around as coach for another season and gets 1 more recruiting class in before turning it over to Wells.

Whether the shot was good or not, Evadale led 48-40 with 4:35 remaining. Eula went on a 9-0 run and took a 49-48 lead with :58 seconds remaining when Deven Murphy hit a nearly improbable 3-pt shot himself in the corner falling out of bounds to give Evadale a 51-49 lead...Eula marched down court and 10 seconds later tied it up. Foul trouble hurt the Rebels, but during Eula's 9-0 run, the Rebels took several ill-advised 3 pt shots... Regardless, they impressed everyone here.

Dunigan non factor....Murphy, Tucker, Stark is the show today. Pace is very slow for both teams. Won't be like that Saturday.
