The scholarship to Navy is an rotc scholarship. It is still great that he gets to play football there. This young man must be a GREAT student/athlete and upstanding, honorable person.

The first level to let the catcher call the pitches is pro ball. (I know there are exceptions) Catchers at the pro level have advanced scouting reports on the opponents. In high school and college you just don't play teams enough times for the cat. to study the hitters. Easier for the coach to look back and see the stats in the book.

Spread, spread, spread! This is not the "end all" of offenses. You have to have the linemen to block it and a very good defense. It can definitely work, but it is not the ONLY offense. Just look at another Liberty county team that ran it this year with a first round exit.(returning the entire state runner-up 4x100 team)

First off, Sam is a great kid and a good QB. He was on a MUCH more talented team than TC. Any four wr's at HD were faster than anyone else in the district. Who did Copeland have to throw to? It does matter in the coaches opinions. It can't always be about stats. Puhlease! Tubbs was by far the best running back in the district, especially since hd chose to spreed things out so much. Feed Cook and brooks more and they probably beat Groveton!

I believe that reality is trying to tell you to quit dogging on Tyler and the he is BY FAR the best player in the district. I heard from fans at WH, that some idiot(all schools have them) fan was yelling about at least Spurger was a team and not just one player when Spurger was down by 10 in the 3rd period. Now that's FUNNY.

Wasn't at the game, but have seen both teams play this year. Doesn't spurger press and play man to man the whole game? I believe west hardin never presses and normally plays a zone defense. Could account for the number of fouls.
