LET IT GO MID-COUNTY! So he applied at one of the leading programs in the state, BIG DEAL. How many of you have looked into applying for a job with Motiva,etc. while still working at Mobil,etc.? It is just that every time a coach puts his name out there, it is public record and anyone can see the list if they file the proper papers because schools are gov. agencies, so to speak.

How many will transfer to HD this year?

I think a bigger reason than weight training for injuries is select baseball - DONE WRONG. I am a big proponent of select ball if the coach handles it correctly. If you have a kid pitching in high school, he needs to let his arm rest either during the fall season or the summer. He can still play, just another position. I know of a local lefthander that had a great future but in his Sophmore year he pitched fall, high school, and summer and then had Tommy John and missed his Junior year. Some kids even play on two or more select teams and pitch for both.

Not predicting a loss. However, unless they win state, they will have at least one more loss. If they lose the state championship game, some will blame Billy. I know he doesn't care what they say about him but ignorance left unchecked becomes stupidity.

The 4X4 won by almost 4 seconds with a pretty slow 4th leg due to the substantial lead. The hurdles were won by the same kid by over a second.

Homeruns are very tangible - either it is or it isn't. One thing I have learned is that it solely depends on the book keeper as to batting averages. I have been to games where a book was being kept in the stands by a kid or a parent and see the next day in the paper some kid with 3 hits when in fact they had a fielders choice and two obvious errors. JMO

One pitcher! Come on! Vidor has the best (or at the top of a very short list) pitching coach in the area. Kyle Green was Lamar's all-time strikeout leader until recently.

A lot of great posts about this game. Great job Coach Bryant and team. Ya'll remember later in the season if you lose one or two games that all the posters on here have mentioned how young the team is.
