Newton is now looking for a week 3 opponent, Sept. 8 Not sure what the reason for Jasper to do this in the middle of a realignment but one has to think it could stem from the recent shooting. Quote

Expand Both teams agreed to drop the game. Yes it was because of the shooting. There was threats made that Jasper was going to retaliate during newton graduation. Newton moved their graduation to their gymnasium and we had extra police at graduation. it is a shame that a few kids can mess it up for everybody else. Quote
