Game 2 Huffman vs BC. HUFFMAN WINS SERIES 2-1

Recommended Posts

PLEASE!! Stop with the umpire talk, it’s a bad look. We got shut out twice, tip your hat to Huffman for coming to BC and getting the job done. It’s a proven fact if you can’t score you can’t win and that’s what happened. Congrats to Huffman, BC will regroup and be back at it next season.

Dang umps cheat the bridge again!  We should be better than this.  Maybe time for Landry to go home to Nederland!

Ya nobody wants to ump your games. Ironically a dude who retired because of people in Orange County came out as a favor to do it. In 5 years every umpire left will go do a game where he doesn’t have to deal with the stupidity every pitch. Everything about Orange County leading with bc is miserable and every ump

hates.

There's 4 other HS here in OC.  Please don't lump us all in with BC.

Rest assured, “lumping” WOS into any conversation relating to baseball at this point is a stretch so you should be okay.

Comedic relief, "tied" for baseball state championships with most of OC? Plus we just renamed our field, so look out next season.

This may be the “post of the year”. Please let us know how that goes.

Rest assured that West Orange has been to state more recently than us.  Might be time for a change.

Show me another local program that’s been more successful over the last 10 years. There aren’t many, if any. 20 plus consecutive years in the playoffs and more district titles in that time than any other school. Go troll somewhere else.

No troll at all.  I am being realistic.  Getting in the playoffs at Bridge City is nothing to brag about.  It is expected.  Baseball is a priority here and the talent and support is through the roof.  Where are the results?  Two Division 1 pitchers and bounced in the first round.  That's not good enough.  I bet I'm not the only one the feel that way, either.

    • but will he be doing contact football drills mid-season?
    • That was an awesome video!  I feel so proud of these young men.  They proved the doubters wrong.  Bellville should be proud, too.  I know it didn't end like they had hoped, but we've been there, so we can definitely empathize with them.  Great season, Brahmas!
    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.
