😂 what a dumb comment

It appears the comment was directed towards a post that said “PNG 42 Crosby 21”.

I guess he should have said “has not scored 35” instead of “cannot”.

It all will be decided Friday though.

Well.  Was the QB the was denied by District approved to play by the UIL?

I'm not sure what happened but there was no mention of a disposition on Crosby's matter.  It was the only school who had a scheduled hearing that the disposition wasn't announced.

The players from O'Donnell, San Antonio Wagner and Tenaha had their appeals denied.

The 2 players from Lexington had their appeals granted.

I queried Logan Lawrence, the new UIL Commications Director at the UIL and here is what he told me.

"Todd,

The District 12-5A Division II Executive Committee met again and decided that it was not a move for athletic purposes. The case now goes through a wavier process that the student-athlete must apply for.

Thank you,

Logan Lawrence

As long as it is legal, let him play. Best against best is always a better game. Looking forward to,  what appears to be a soggy Friday night battle at the Reservation.

PNG by 21... that’s what they said about Vidor. Maybe the Indians aren’t THAT good this year? Y’all should get used to it and adjust your predictions accordingly.

Facts! PNG nearly lost to a not so talented very well Coached Vidor team.

My comment was directed at him thinking Crosby will win 21-20

No Doubt!  A well coached team in Vidor.  No Doubt a talented, but struggling to learn what the coach needs team in Crosby.

Remember PNG held that "you so called not so talented team" in Vidor to 10 points.  how did ya'll do?

I might add that PNG had only scored 3 points in the game with 5:40 left in the 4th quarter. It was a good defensive ball game minus the refs trying to take over.  Vidor just fell a little short. Call Vidor what you want but they have played some good football since the loss to Montgomery. PNG made the plays they needed to make to come back an win. I could be wrong but after seeing Crosby and PNG I think Crosby could give PNG matchup problems an win this game. We shall see.

3 points scored by PNG, 14 points taken away from PNG by poor officiating by that point. As well as all the momentum, & yet PNG scores late & wins.  I agree, Crosby will be a challenge, and if the Indians are not hindered with the same level of officiating that occured during that Vidor game, PNG will give Crosby just as many problems as they give us.  Should be a great game.

I agree but let’s not forget Vidor had some big plays brought back too that would have put them in scoring position to score more than 10. You act like Vidor didn’t have any flags thrown against them😂 Vidor had a lot of penalties called against them also that we’re questionable.   All I am saying is Vidor is not bad some posters are saying they are and PNG is not as great as some posters are saying they are. You can say all the if’s and but’s you want but it doesn’t change the fact that PNG had only 3 points with 5:40 left in the game. I’ve given PNG credit for winning don’t know what else to tell you. Go Crosby!😂😂

Seems like the Forum is getting new posters, but overall the class is going down.  But that’s Jmo.   This Pirate fan is pulling for the Indians.  There were a few classless Indian posters (and Pirate), but in the days of Mecca, nothing comes close to the Crosby posters, as a whole.  And yes, there are a few good posters in Cougarland, and I expect they’re often embarrassed by others, as we all are.

I am embarrassed that some posters that were at the game just can’t acknowledge how the game actually went down and accept a congrats when given. The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. I am sure Pirate players are rooting for a Crosby win as it would only help there playoff chances. I think they’ve proven that they can win in this district this year.

The one who posted the derogatory post about Vidor really urinated me off.   Fortunately, I don’t see as much of that as I used too.   I’d think a PNG win would be more advantageous for Vidor’s playoff chances.  I’m confident that PNG & BH are in.   It’s the other two that are a big mystery.  Just want the Pirates to take care of Santa Fe right now 😄

    • but will he be doing contact football drills mid-season?
    • That was an awesome video!  I feel so proud of these young men.  They proved the doubters wrong.  Bellville should be proud, too.  I know it didn't end like they had hoped, but we've been there, so we can definitely empathize with them.  Great season, Brahmas!
    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.
