I would certainly like an answer to that as well. 

But remember, with the possible exception of Newton, every coach in the area has a contingent of the community that has a "problem" with the current coach and in many places it is larger than you think.

Coach Dubois is, in my opinion, easily one of the top ten “x &o”coaches in the area, and the absolute best leader of young men. BC will not likely see another coach of his caliber in our future. 

Band parents didn’t like that he had the band  removed from the sidelines during the actual games... so they complained. There were too many “why don’t they throw the ball more... we’ve already ran that play five times” from Day One. Ummm... because BC isn’t a qb factory. Year before last we beat teams with multiple D1 recruits with a bunch of kids that had one kid move one to play at a D2 school. One. That’s coaching. 

A lot of heat came up last year when one of the star players was injured in practice. The parents were very vocal in blaming Coach Dubois for that injury... plenty of others were quick to join in. 

I’d have gone back to HJ, too

The question is, was one of those STAR players hurt in an unnecessary drill?

Was this STAR football player also a STAR baseball player?

Did both of DuBois kids graduate?

Was there a POWER struggle between football and baseball? Because if there was, then Baseball was always going to win that battle in BC.

      For what it’s worth, someone on another site was saying that this incident is pretty well known in SD and she was trying to get out in front of it, but it also may or may not be true that  she just got pissed at it because it messed up her hunt and she’s trying to spin it into something more justifiable.  I have zero to back this up right now, but if it’s the case, it’s a whole other issue.

      Whatever happened to educating people so that they don’t go off the deep end pursuing an incident that shouldn’t be political in the first place? Seems everyone is looking for their “trigger”moment. The dumbing down of America has taken its toll. Anyone who would hold this against her is doing so out of spite and for political gain. Said people need to be ignored.

      You won’t get an argument from me that this won’t hurt her nationally but I don’t think this will hurt her in SD or even an appointment in a Republican administration.  I’m sure she saw backlash from some, apparently not from folks like you and me, which is significant, but like I said, I appreciate the honesty.

      Appreciate the confidence.  Why don’t we see how this works out for her.  Going great so far.  She MIGHT be able to get re-elected in South Dakota next election, but if a good candidate runs against her in the Republican primaries she may be in trouble.  I don’t think there’s a chance in hades she gets the VP nomination, and if for some reason Trump is dumb enough to give it to her, his chances of winning are probably over.  On a positive note, maybe DeSantis gets it now?  If they win and do a decent job then we’d have a VP ready to run for president in four years with a good shot of winning.
