Yes u did u miss your calling, silsbee had 28 seniors and couldn't do anything what makes u think they have a snowballs chance now? Although district is not wos goal they will win it in their sleep qb doesn't matter they will plug in another horse

...it was the QB they y'all unleashed late in the game this year to pull away late, if you remember.  Y'all leaned on his athleticism.  Well, can't lean on him next year is all I'm saying...

I think you might change your mind after you see the next Qb I hear that he is good and can throw the ball.  I still think Silsbee will be good though, and make it far in the playoffs until they have a rematch with WOS again. I don't know what round that would be in? At Least Silsbee don't have to face Carthage.

That's the smartest thing you ever said. now fire crouch

i've tried to tell you Crouch isn't going anywhere. He's making a good paycheck and is doing what the administration wants him to do. We are mediocre in football and a lot of things are going to have to change other then Crouch leaving for us to have a successful program.

I never really go by JV scores for varsity success the following season, but just for discussion:

This past season

Silsbee JV             48

WO-S JV                 0

Nothing to discuss as your first sentence stated...lol,it will be a fun meaningful game once again though!!

Does anybody remember how it ended way back in 2014 when WOS had to fall back to their 4th option at qb?

With all due respect, they won district the year the year that #12 passed away during a game!

If you really believe that this is your year because they’ll be starting a new qb, you’re setting yourself up for a bitter disappointment.

I can’t believe I’m actually talking trash for WOS.

The backup QB was a senior. The JV QB  (Soph) was a righty, that was moved up to varsity the last few games of the season and playoffs. The lefty QB the Freshman team then moved up to finish out the JV season. The Sophomore May have the early nod, but August is a long ways away.

The backup was Johnson #3 i believe. He was a sophmore or Jr.

The Lefthand kid from JV I'm talking about is R. Foster.

Tyrone Wilson will indeed turn some heads this year.

Correct. The Johnson (Soph) QB the JV until the last few game of the year then he was moved up to varsity. The Freshman, Foster, QB the freshman team  then moved up to finish out the JV season and you should know all about Foster. These two maybe had one or two losses between them in their respected spots. So, what does that mean, that means that Silsbee has some prospects for QB and August is a long way away. TigerNation!!!

True, but Silsbee won’t have Barnes running kicks back for a td either. Other than that Silsbee didn’t do much against wos

True.  When I seen the backup QB get in, he looked nice.  Saw Foster play for years and seen video of him this year.  He needs to put in more work and get faster, but I know the people that's surrounding him will work hard with him this off season, then we'll see what happens after that.

    • He actually had a pretty solid year for a sophomore starting in that district. I can assure you, it hasn't hurt his recruiting at all and that will only improve with the move back to the Wack.
    • If Crumedy eventually has bigger aspirations than being in Jasper, every aspect of the program will be looked at when someone interviews him for any job. He knows that. The mindset needs to be that any time someone wears a Jasper uniform, that they're doing everything they possibly can to win. It matters.
    • This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It's a poll but I could definitely see this as realistic.   From the article: Catholics in the United States have swung dramatically against President Biden in recent years, now boasting a significant statistical break towards his GOP challenger. Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
    • He's already stated he's a huge Clinton fan.
