Yes. Disregard the "fun" size comment.

Well, disregard the silly Silsbee lite crap.  This Silsbee team is good and these kids on the current roster busses tail in practice to be called Lite by their supporter?  They're playing these games and you play games to win.  Because if Coach Sig had a problem with a 'Lite' team, he just cancel all games until the football players come back, like other schools do.

Who said Coach Sigler had a problem with a Lite team?

Lot's of folks have been calling the team "Lite". Even other media folk.

You the only one calling Central "fun size".

I threw that in a joke from a reference from last year and is losing 2 starters last year...  Central isn't fun sized this year.

And IMO, Silsbee Lite is a slap in the face for those current hard working basketball only guys..

And they (the media) started saying Silsbee Lite because of you.

The 'team' plays with what they have.  Silsbee basketball team will be good.  The TEAM took looses, 2 early to good teams.  The Silsbee team plays tomorrow night and they'll be going for the win, not looking like a charity case being called 'Lite'.

Come on.  Its a reference to not having a "full" squad.

If the shoe fits on the following statement, wear it, if not then provide the criticism needed for these young men to excel at their craft.

The only people who might be bothered by it would be someone who is unsure of their place on the team.  I for one would be glad to get the playing time while the main starters finish up with football.

Make their case for being on the hardwood, relish the minutes they get to prove it and dont miss the opportunity when it comes.

Ask Braelon Bush.

Stop making it into something its not and providing an excuse for poor play.

Any one of those ballplayers can handle the pressure of repeating.

The reigning UIL 4A Champs can silence everyone for now by making quick work of Central.  It's time for those starters that are not playing football to carry this team.  As reigning champs you have that Bulls Eye on your back and everyone will bring their A Game.  Silsbee Tigers you are the King of the Jungle and everyone is out to defeat the King regardless the size of your army/team.

This is an golden opportunity for the underclassmen to get game time experience before the starters return.

Silsbee Tigers remember this "You have enemies??? Good, that means you have something others want".

    • He actually had a pretty solid year for a sophomore starting in that district. I can assure you, it hasn't hurt his recruiting at all and that will only improve with the move back to the Wack.
    • If Crumedy eventually has bigger aspirations than being in Jasper, every aspect of the program will be looked at when someone interviews him for any job. He knows that. The mindset needs to be that any time someone wears a Jasper uniform, that they're doing everything they possibly can to win. It matters.
    • This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It's a poll but I could definitely see this as realistic.   From the article: Catholics in the United States have swung dramatically against President Biden in recent years, now boasting a significant statistical break towards his GOP challenger. Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
    • He's already stated he's a huge Clinton fan.
