AggiesAreWe
Why all games have to be in Lufkin It was an agreement that both district's coaches made last year and this year. All the Bi-District games between these two districts will be played at Abe Martin in Lufkin, just like last year. Will be a Thursday night game, Friday night game and double header on Saturday.Last year 10-4A DI district #1 seed (Jasper) got to choose first what day they wanted to play. This year 9-4A DI champ (Kilgore) get's to choose first.
BADSANTA
Silsbee has had no success playing in Lufkin as of late in all sports.
CardinalBacker
Just curious. IF Jasper wins Friday's game against Silsbee, and BC/Huffman both win as expected, you'd have Jasper atop the district but HH, SIL, and BC each at 4-2 in the district. To add to the confusion, HH has a win over SIL, BC has a win over SIL, and SIL has a win over BC. How is the seeding determined in that case? Positive points, which is done by comparing the margins of victories in the 3 games (capped at 18 points). In that case, Silsbee would have a +15 (62-42 win over Bridge City, 50-47 loss to Huffman Hargrave), Huffman Hargrave -4 (50-47 win over Silsbee, 41-34 loss to Bridge City) and Bridge City -11 (41-34 win over Huffman Hargrave, 62-42 loss to Silsbee) CardinalBacker
BADSANTA
Does 10-4A have a chance to have a few teams advance this year. I think Jasper, Silsbee, and maybe BC all win 1st round games. redbirdsrock
Gasilla
I would love to see a Carthage vs BC matchup. Carthage does not see the Slot T at all up there. You don't just walk out on the field and stop it. griff

Therefore those "garbage time" TD's BC claims Silsbee got actually might determine some seeding. AggiesAreWe
whoever is the #1 seed, and it will be in the fourth round. had the DAWGS not lost to Henderson last year 60-43 in the third round them Rattlers would have been our next/ last opponent. You are wrong. Actually, the #2 seed would see Navasota in 2nd round, the #3 seed would see Navasota in 3rd round. You are correct that the 10-4A DI #1 seed would not see Navasota till regional championship game, 4th round.

Last thing you want is a Carthage match-upI'd say I probably know at least as much as you do. I know they have lost 3 games this year and have given up a bunch of points and that they ARE NOT the Carthage of 2 years ago. BADSANTA
If Silsbee can beat Jasper, they can go at least 3 rounds deep this year. If they lose, they will come home in the 2nd round. This is a big game for both teams. Gasilla
