Some of your points are valid,as far as WOS goes and where this pinned thread likely stemmed from…WOS has a new coach that’s been in this system for 6 -7 years and has a ring or two,he inherited 8 back on each side of the ball,I assure you that’s pretty good…these kids can play the game,then change everything they have been taught their entire life? Why?Theres been some bad decisions made and it shows…maybe it is low hanging fruit,but it’s rotten fruit!

Truth. The problem is, this group of seniors have always been very good. So, what has changed....🤔

I think the decline will get worse.   The discipline, toughness, conditioning, will all further decline as the years go by.
 
It was gonna be hard to replace CT with just anyone.   It was gonna take an extensive, open-minded, state wide search for the best. They didn’t do that, and they will continue to pay the consequences.

This.  I don’t know Coach Hickman but wish him all the best.  I felt for him from the beginning. It’s so tough to replace a legend and he’s following two of those. 
 
But the amount of complaining I heard about Coach T for years was both hilarious and sad.  Those who obviously will complain about ANYONE can really use those Karen megaphones now.

WOS should rehire CT as superintendent, then they would have one that can actually get on the sidelines and know what needs to be done. The super is ultimately responsible, evidently this one has made some poor decisions. The kids are the ones that are suffering the consequences. 

West orange never has a down year like this. I may be wrong , but we’d have to go back 30-40 years to find a west orange team losing like this. When they lost to png I thought, “ok, png might just be better than we thought and are finally playing defense.” When they lost to Silsbee I thought, “well of course - Silsbee has one of the best players in the state and is probably going to go at least five rounds this year.” Then they kept losing. And they keep losing on absolutely terrible offensive production and non-existent defense. This kind of self-destruction is unheard of for west orange. It may amount to just a down year, but that it’s happening at all is weird. A down year for west orange used to mean district champs and a second or third round exit. Now it means losing to Hampshire Fannet ? This season is a historic dip for that program

I never have a problem with a school supt. being down on the track/field. But he/she should never be on the sidelines within those white lines and should never be talking with coaches/players.

Man this is bad...real bad. Losing to HF??? Returning 8 on both sides of the ball and getting beat like this?? There is a good case that this team should be 1-4. What happens next year when they really have to rebuild??😬

Lol, the writing was on the wall from last year at Nederland. It is what it is.some ppl will never know what CT shows these kids on a daily basis.i think someone said give it time?? It will only get better. Nope it will only get worse.

Oh for sure.  Right now the focus is learning to lose.  It is a crash course but being taught very well.

I believe there is a distinct difference between "coach bashing" and fair criticism and evalation. "Coach bashing" to me is when some poster(s) with a axe to grind hates a rival school, and repetativly bashes the rivals coach just because he happens to be the rivals coach. Or, a fan bashes his own coach because "Johnny ain't starting". We have clearly seen both 
Fair commentary is just that, expressing a view based on factual events or factual performances. If a coach comes to a winning program and the wheels soon fall off without an obvious reason, or, a coach behaves bad in public, brings negative attention, and his players and staff follows, then that is not "bashing", it actually needs to be called out and not swept under a rug. We have seen this too.  
Coaching is like every other profession. A few good ones, and few bad ones, and most are in the middle. Bell curve. No need to pretend all coaches are above ANY scrutiny. Thats not realistic. They are grown men who get all the credit when they win and get paid to do it. They have to accept the spotlight, whatever it may be.       

I do not feel sorry for them,  ive said it several times. They wanted change. Mainly for the wrong reasons and  They got change.

Read my post, I didn’t say parents need to support there kids I said fans need to support their kids. This is about the kids an no one else. All of these kids are playing amateur high school sports. It’s nothing more than that. 
Its not the kids fault if people in leadership positions didn’t properly do their do diligence to put the MOST QUALIFIED people In coaching positions.

You play the way you practice…if you don’t hit everyday you won’t hit Friday…sad sad times,I’ve seen everything I needed to see and until it changes WOS will be mediocre!✌️
