  1. I hear what you are saying about one unified school, but I don't think having more kids on the field or in the band is necessarily a bad thing. At any given moment, 33 (3x 11) are on the field, as opposed to 11. More opportunities for more students. Those other 22 matter. This extends to things like one act play, academic contests etc. too. I want to be clear though I am not advocating for "everyone gets a trophy". You have to earn accomplishments, as opposed to to being handed a ribbon for just showing up. Ultimately, I don't think sports should drive school size and attendance but of course it happens to some degree. Growth's raw numbers and logistics should decide how many and what size schools districts have. Many different valid views here, I can see both sides of it.
  2. I attended the majority of the RSS home games in 2019. (didn't attend anything in 2020) and you are right RSS has loyal fans. I remember one cold windy night they were getting blown out badly but the fans stayed and cheered until the end.
  3. GCCISD 2-1 Friday, another winning weekend. Keep it up Baytown!
  4. Just left at end of 3rd. BH cleaned up a lot of miscues from last week. Held on to the ball much better. Just two fumbles that I saw. Still a work in progress but the Eagles are steadily improving.
  5. From WIKI North Forest High School is a secondary school located in Houston, Texas, United States. The school is a part of the Houston Independent School District; it was a part of the North Forest Independent School District until the district closed on July 1, 2013. The thing was such a wreck it went into conservatorship, then later absorbed into HISD.
  6. Where is it at? The BHISD school site has conflicting info: Volleyball - Varsity vs. Humble Summer Creek High School (Home) Subscribe to Alerts 4:30 PM HUMBLE SUMMER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL Its says (HOME), then it says Summer Creek.
  7. Spring is playing Tomball Memorial tonight. North Shore has Westfield tomorrow.
  8. It will be interesting to see the impact of the new West Fork HS on these two programs. [Hidden Content] Kind of reminds me of Baytown opening GCM, but there is faster growth along 59 than in Baytown.
  9. Huffman is STOUT. A shutout would not surprise me unless the reserves are in late in the game.
  10. If I was WOS I would want to play Childress first, then Pilot Point. The rest are not worth it to get any kind of test.
  11. I don't know much about Heights, but if BH eliminates turnovers, or nearly so, the Eagles should win. Final tune up before district! I am seeing Delmar Stadium as the venue, can anyone confirm this?
  12. Baytown was 1 point from being 3-0 over the weekend. Good job! Keep it up!
  13. Allen overhyped their new coach. I am sure they will be great in the months and years ahead but it will not be an overnight transition.
  14. Yeah I don't think that last 4-5 minutes will be replicated, it was an aberration in my opinion. The mistakes are fixable. I am heartened we went toe to toe tied up in the 4th against PAM. It tells me there is some capability there. We will start district 0-0 like everyone else!
  15. They are fumbles in my book. He had the ball in his hands three times and put it on the ground every time, and each time it was inside our own 15 yard line. If that persists it can be a disaster. Also, in the 3rd qtr. BH was driving and had a third down, 5 yard EASY wide open pass to him that hit him square in his chest that he could not catch. It killed the drive, and #6 was benched for the rest of the game. I felt bad for him but the TO's absolutely killed BH last night. Good thing is its fixable, and we have to clean them all up to win any game.
  16. It was a great game for 3.5 quarters, but I am well aware you play four. The final score is misleading, it was a lot closer than it looks. I was happy with the BH effort, but the execution is not there yet. I don't have stats, but did BH really have 10 fumbles + interceptions? I know one player had three fumbles alone before halftime. You will not win like that. As I told someone, BH will probably only see one team in district (Crosby) with the overall athleticism that PAM has. If BH can clean up self inflicted mistakes like fumbles, and soft floaty passes that get picked, the Eagles will be fine. PAM has a ton of potential. The PAM QB can break away anytime he has the ball in his hands. BH has one more tune up game against Houston Heights, then its time to shine.
  17. PAM scores on break away run. Seals the deal. Heckuva effort BH!!!
