Before we start talking about how terrible the silsbee kids are and all of that... Lets wait and see if anyone actually fails. Grades go in Friday lol I went to Silsbee. A lot of my teammates "almost" failed

Are we debating on if Central will beat Nederland or if they can win the State Championship? Idk about the State Championship, but I like them to win on the road in Nederland. I took them to cover the -10 pt spread, which I am not so sure about. Sounds like a little hate/bias going on.

Central failed miserably the last 2 years???  Didn't they make it to the championship game 2 years ago & had a shot to win it despite their best player going down in the 1st quarter?  Tough critic.  And again lost a close game in the regional finals vs another talented team.  Hardly call that "failed miserably."  

That wasn't emotion. There is a difference in emotion and taunting/a lack of sportsmanship. I'm all for players getting pumped up after a big play or a dunk that gives a boost of energy to the team. However the "Sshhh" stuff is just bush. Finish of the play and let the momentum ride, dont make it a "Me" moment and kill it.

Cousins is fundamentally sound with a nice jumper.  He needs a shrink more than anything else.   Aldridge is good, Durant,  also. 
Players like D Howard, Dandre Jordan, Corey Brewer, etc, the list is endless..Those players needed fundamental training.  Too late now.

Our bigs in the USA are limited in their skills compared to foreign  bigs who are in the lab learning the fundamentals, like shooting,  passing,  blocking out,  footwork,  mid range  and CATCHING the darn ball. Hmmm,  did I say dunking? Oh,  that's us in this country who care more about dunks than the fundamentals of mid range shooting and learning the game.

I never could dunk....or touch rim, but if I could, I could see myself being the player to point and stare. I can imagine getting caught up in a moment like that. The simple fact is you just can't. You can, but all it does is hurt your team in the long run. So if your fine with that, have at it. Just hope that Tech don't bite you in a game that matters. Aaannnnddddd i'm moving on.

Heard West Hardin won by 12.  Also hear there were about 7 technical fouls between the 2 teams.  Sounds like it got pretty sporty down at Oiler gym.

Holding up Three fingers as you run down the court after hitting a 3 is not the same as personalizing your action on another player.  Example: Hitting a 3 and doing the Jason Terry is perfectly fine. Dunking on a player and hitting him with the throat slash gesture is not fine.

HF got a huge game in Silsbee tonight. 

IMO, Nederland will play a disciplined/fundamentally sound game. They will be physical and hold their own against Ozen. I think the mid 3rd and 4th quarters will be the difference. Ozen will push the tempo and force mistakes down the stretch. Nederland is an underrated squad, but the Panthers will be too much for them in this one. 

The All-State team is such a joke anyway. Voters don't see the majority of athletes play. Awards are given by who you know and other political reasons. The Mustangs have not really been challenged in district or the playoffs, but they do not have one player on 1st or 2nd team? It's frustrating, but I wouldn't put any stock into All State teams being an accurate representation of the best players in the state. Results do not lie.
