Yes..that definitely seems plausible.  7 different college coaches are such bad recruiter that they wasted roster spots and maybe even scholarship money on kids that they knew would flop out.  Then...a college coach of however many decades also wasted roster spots on those 7 kids knowing that they weren't good enough to play for their former school.

ETBU is 20-5 right now.. I haven't seen them play either, and I could care less.  But they seem to be doing ok.  And trust me.. if "he is good enough to make that roster" I'm sure they will reach out to him at some point.  If not...well I guess you're wrong.

Man, this district will be tight. I don't think there is a clear cut favorite or top two. I think the 4th spot comes down to Central, Lumberton, and Ozen. But, I have no idea what these schools have coming back for the most part.

Exactly.  Seeing as none of the teams on that list have beaten Ned in the last 5 years.     PAM will be the wildcard, but I think the Dogs are up to the challenge especially if it comes down to coaching.

Saw them play HJ in 1st week. Saw them play 3 games at Big Sandy Tourney. Saw them play 3 games at HJ tourney. Saw them play 5 games at East Chambers Tourney. Saw them play LC-M a couple of weeks ago.
I would say 13 games qualifies as "several".

After everything that's gone down in HF lately...I'm not sure I'd even consider working there..unless every single school board member not only resigned, but moved out of the school district.  Issues over there.  Real issues.

Come on man, what player did A&M beat out Texas for when Texas was rolling. None of the Aggie stars were offered by Texas, not Johnny, not Von, not McNeal. I think maybe Micheal and Joeckel were the only ones that were offered and didn't come. Read up on Chis Daniels flip from OU and why he chose Texas, very similar to comments made a while ago by Clarence McKinney on why Sumlin connected with kids due to being from the South.
Even further, the kids A&M was able to get in those classes you're talking about were never able to a conference title in the lowly Big 12. You usually tuck tail and run because you can't win, A&M didn't and they subsequently left. No other way to really look at it, saying it was a better move for monetary reasons is really admitting to not wanting to be in Texas' shadow. If A&M was the brand they think they are then they should've been able to build a cash cow like Texas has, but they couldn't. Now they're stuck in perpetual mediocrity in the SEC.
Fact of the matter is A&M isn't going to get better players than the state school in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. You can definitely get a better class here or there, but take a look over in Baton Rouge. Les Miles was/is in the same situation as Sumlin and may have just signed his best class ever at LSU going off player averages. All the top prospects A&M wanted went to Ole Miss, including Lodge last year. All that while they ALREADY have better players and coaching than A&M. It's a dim reality.
As far as Texas fans being happy, I think it's a given. Watching 59-0 against 'Bama, not being able to move the ball on Auburn, getting steamrolled by LSU backs, playing directional schools all are reality now. The difference in Texas, if you listen to the recruits like Cuffee, is that they all grew up watching Texas dominate and know it can be done again. They've never seen that from A&M, the selling point in College Station is that you get to play in the SEC and we have some nice gadgets. That's over now, kids are back to going where they feel like they have the best shot at winning.  

I'm sure people will be lining up to get involved in that cluster of a school...(sarcasm).  If you think by now that every coach in the entire state hasn't heard that parents at HF started up a criminal investigation against the coaches for "tough workouts".. then you're crazy.  Any coach that's worth anything will stay as far away from that place as possible...and I'm sure they'll spread the word.
Good job HF.  I hope you all realize what's coming.  All this just in time to graduate the only hope of a good football team you had (King)....Again.  Good, good job.
 

No connection to the program. But, quitters quit, players play. Hard to imagine she is so much more committed than the guy whose  career is coaching, but i've seen some pretty lazy coaches. I'm assuming she quit because all I know i what has been posted. That isn't what a committed, hard working, leader, dedicated player does,

Undefeated Ozen team has to be mentioned along with several of the 80’s PA Lincoln teams.  However, as I was reading through the book written by Charles Breithaupt “Press On” about the 1991 Hardin-Jefferson team Todd Sutherland is quoted in the book saying, “This was the best team I have ever been around and I have been blessed to be around some great teams.  I told my wife Jenny, ‘Don’t get used to this.  This team is not normal.’ “

 

This situation had absolutely nothing to do with race.  It was an issue of whether coaches used good judgment in administering punishment to the kids.  But I'm sure that wasn't your point.  It's not like HF is lily white.  
As for BISD, I am sure there are some at least whose motivations and distaste are at least partially racially motivated.  But there are many, myself and some of my close friends of color, who have been disgusted by the corruption and lack of ethics by many within the district who were entrusted with taxpayer money, and more importantly, our children.  Just as there are some whose critiques were racially motivated, I believe there are others whose blind support is racially motivated.  
As far as the TB situation, it was another unfortunate mistake on his part.  If he gets it together or Deionte Thompson enjoys success there, I am sure you will just as clearly see overwhelming support for either of them.  
OF, unfortunately you are correct that there are still a LOT of racist people in this world, and this site has its share I am sure.  But invoking the race card when it's not really an issue does nothing to eradicate the problem; rather, it is much more likely to have the reverse effect.  Fewer people are likely to hear when the situation actually involves the ignorance that is racism.  Just my 2 cents.  For whatever it's worth.

Look who's back.  It's a funny thing...I actually knew you'd come back around as soon as I saw the district alignments.  I actually think HD will get out of this district.  Whether or not they win it I have no clue.  Honestly, every school in the district has the potential any given year to be the worst team in football.  So who knows.
I am with AAW though...didn't you guys organize a petition to run Hodges out of town?
