I'll once again mention the conditioning she puts the girls through (from a reliable source lol). Consensus of Rebel fans, if a game goes 5 sets, advantage Evadale. Real advantage goes to her husband who coaches our girls basketball. School size of Evadale, virtually whole Vball team plays basketball, so when Vball is over literally 2 or 3 days later, they're playing their first Bball game. The Hollyfields are a tremendous asset for this town. Again, Congrats Coach Deb

Never seen it that bad km. But I know so little about Vball rules it hampers my ability to get on the refs often. Like you, I'd never watched, but it is exciting when equally matched teams play. I know how surprised I was first time we sit at end of court. From side you think ball just straight, but at end, most hits are dancing like a good knuckleball. Was an eye opener.

Lady Rebs have valedictorian on team. It was brought up by Coach Deb one time. My G'daughter was quick to point out she was in the top 30 - which got a good laugh since there are only 30 in the Sr class.

Wish someone could explain this "hands off" policy to us. This is despicable. Didn't mean much when I was young, but now I look at what the Founding Fathers did and it amazes me. What foresight. What an amazing collection of intelligence. Surprises me they didn't put rules for the Internet (joke). Unfortunately, not even they could foresee, or would believe, what's happening now. H-ll, I've lived thru it & I don't believe it. But with the knowledge we have now, how would we improve the foundation? Here's just a couple of things that come to my mind (Disclaimer: I'm a functional illiterate, no T. Jefferson). Term Limits (Smitty likes this). Limit Fed Govt influence in State business so emphatically that there's no doubt, and same to 2nd Amendment. Last, and perhaps most important IMO, have an ironclad provision to prevent Political Parties! People in Anywhere, Texas elect Joe who's from there. Has their values. Joe gets to DC, as D/R Rep, and ends up under the thumb of the RNC/DNC. A group of unelected, all powerful folks, who tell Joe how he must vote if he wants to remain. Joe is no longer looking out for the interest of the citizens of Anywhere. He's become another puppet of the National Committee. For you young folks, it hasn't always been this bad. It had started, but some elected officials still rep their constituents. Now, for the most part, you only vote against your Party if there is enough votes to ensure their interest are going to pass anyway. Okay, I see several of you nodding off. Please point out where I've messed up.

As some know, where it not for my grandkids I wouldn't know a point guard from a post (in my youth, Guards, Forw, & Center), so all I can do is tell you my grandson and most of his teammates think the world of Coach L. He helped with 7& 8Gd and I can only remember one loss (but my memory ain't something to bet on). Whether he can turn it around for Vidor, I sincerely hope so. Will the kids enjoy playing for him? I'd bet my firstborn (he's 6'3" & weighs 260 and eat you out of house and home lol). Good Luck to the Pirates this year! This old Reb will be a Fan!

The bottom line on the topic, if my children were in that school, I'd be congratulating that teacher. And IMO it doesn't matter what color he, or she is, what religion, what sexual preference, or any of the other bs absurdity someone might want to throw at me. Better safe than sorry.

Show me someone who believed that Govt controlled health care would save anyone money and I'll show you a person who is a functional idiot. Have they ever looked at Social Security? People poured mountains of money into it. It had an enormous surplus in the 50's. Politicians couldn't stand it. We need this Pork and that Pork - Money? We'll "borrow" it from SS. And if that doesn't convince you, look at our National Debt. Would you want these people handling your portfolio, savings? As I've said before, the more Govt controls, the more you have to rely on Govt, and thus you're slaves to it. And make no mistake, that's what they want! Cradle to grave control.

I heard a quote on this recently, but since I'm senile, can't remember it all, or who said it. Here's my best: if you move to another country and assimilate, you're an immigrant, if you don't, you're an invader. Well now, doesn't that make sense. Isn't that what the Italians, Poles, (etc.) even the Vietnamese did? As have a few Christians from the Middle East I know, and a few (very few) Muslims. But the majority of Muslims now believe one thing, it's there way or you're an infidel and need to die. That being the admitted truth, why would any non Muslim country want them? They're not going to "see the light". Eventually, they'll want to kill you. Paranoid? No, it's something rare today. It's called common sense.
