This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up 1973.  I read about it a while back and the story is that a black man responded to an "apartment for rent" sign.  He was told by on-site management that the unit had already been rented, then a white woman inquired about the apartment and was shown the unit as still being available.  Upon pressure the on site manager claimed that he was just following orders, but that was something that the Trumps denied at the time.  The case was settled with the Trumps agreeing to publish ads welcoming black applicants and to also Familiarize themselves with the Fair Housing Act.... the Trumps didn't admit guilt either.  
 
It's important to remember a couple of important facts.... first, the Fair Housing Act (1968) had only been in effect for four years when the incident occurred... an incident in which Trump was not accused of having any direct involvement, and for which he denied any knowledge of.   Imagine that in 1972, somebody walked into a Hilton Hotel and was denied service, presumably because of their race... then in 2023 people are pointing at the 1972 episode as "proof" that Paris Hilton is a racist, even though most of us are pretty sure she bangs black dudes.

I’m torn on this one… I think Vidor has historically underperformed by everybody else’s standards. But Vidor is actually happy with their record… they just want another character guy who also coaches. 
 
But I think the world of Coach Dubois. He is an outstanding man and I can’t say enough about what all he did for my boys. If Vidor had qbs who could throw it around a little, Dubois would do so, I’m pretty sure. He never minded mixing passes in at BC. 
 
A more diverse slot t would probably work pretty well in Vidor’s current district if there was decent production through the air… I like the hire, but probably because I like the guy personally.  Does anybody from Vidor have an accurate comparison between Dubois and Mathews, or is it pretty much a carbon copy?

You have laugh at all of the "concern" for the lefties while they completely overlook video evidence of repeated examples of the current President engaging in behavior that could be categorized as textbook grooming.  The same guys who still support Bill Clinton and his "legacy" want us to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of this immediately.  
 
It's only disqualifies the "other" guys.

My guess is that we'll never hear that angle explored by the talking heads on the news because it doesn't follow the whole "cops are racists and this attack is still the fault of whitey."
I felt like the attack was just to brutal and lengthy to just be reactionary.... it seemed personal.  

Surratt had the talent of hiring coaches. 
His staff starting from the junior high to high school started teaching kids how to play disciplined football, how to lift weights, film study, pride of the C an how to play a very physical type of football. He said his self, Carthage had good athletes but were not physical. 
By the time you get to the junior varsity, you are playing hard nose physical football. Every little kid in Carthage wants to be a Carthage Dawg. 
No matter if they have to wait until they are seniors for a starting position. 
If you look back at every state championship team, see how many played FBS football (major DI college ball) you won’t find but a small number. 
You will find a whole bunch they landed at smaller colleges. The point is the coaching staff developed those kids and made them the best they could be. 
Carthage has had some of the best high school quarterbacks in Texas but only two played DI football Boggie went to USAT and one is at Tulane now. It is all about the program at Carthage. 
Surratt, Preston, and all the other coaches beat with one heart beat and by the time the players get to the varsity, they have the same heart beat. 

Does anybody know the race of the decedent and the involved officers?  It's a matter of utmost importance.

That's how it should be. Coaches having those connections in order to help the players get the opportunities that come with it. Not just for current players but future ones as well.

I was on my way to the lake a few years back and stopped in Newton at Brookshires. There was a clean cut lady in line in front of me at the registers and she was wearing a Newton ISD shirt. Possibly a teacher , probably a para… I don’t know. We made small talk and she seemed sharp.  
 
She pulled out her Lonestar Card and paid for her groceries, then paid cash for her non-grocery items. I could make a ton of judgments, but it made me wonder. How many people have NEVER paid for their own groceries? I can’t claim superiority because I have signed up for benefits in the past. There was an emergency 90 days’ worth, if my memory is correct. I found work and never renewer after that initial period. But I do remember that the actual money lasted a lot longer than 90 days, lol.
Its like this… I know a young couple with kids and they are always struggling… but I’ve heard Grandpaw say “I don’t care how bad it gets over there… my grandkids aren’t going to sit in the dark over there and they’re not going to go hungry.” It’s a nice gesture, but all Mom and Dad hear is that they don’t have to worry about the light bill or food… gramps has it covered… or at least that’s how they act. They just need somebody else to help them get their car back from the repo yard. 
 
And I think that’s where a lot of our “poor” are today. They know that if they start improving their lot in life by getting a job, they won’t be able to afford the groceries that they have on our dime. Those generous benefits are a disincentive to getting off of them. 
 
My solution? A set period of benefits like we have now… 24 months or so. Once it’s done, it’s only good for products like WIC provides, the old cheese and butter like they used to pass out, and MREs like we feed our troops. My guess is that you’d have a lot fewer people on the system. Heck, prove the liberals wrong. Only give them healthy alternatives. Fresh fruit and vegetables, no processed foods, no soft drinks.  My guess is that our spending in that area would shrink when they couldn’t shop like fourth graders turned loose at the grocery store with unlimited resources. 

But it may improve hers.........

2.  Free food for the course of their natural life via foodstamps
3.  Free healthcare (up to and including abortion on demand regardless of ability to pay) for life
4.  Absolution of all college debt and free college for all from now on.
5.  NICE housing from cradle to grave, with no contribution from the tenant
6.   Reparations for all black people, regardless of their affiliation with slavery
7.  A free smart phone w/data plan
8.  EBT plans for those expenses not covered by SNAP/WIC

It happens every night on "that" side of town.... the only reason anybody cares is that there were cops involved in this one.  There are two explanations for why people aren't rioting right now.  
1.  It's purely about race and is always the case, nobody cares about the epidemic of black men murdered by other black men. If those cops were white, this would have been worse than George Floyd's riots.  But since there's not a racial element, the masses don't care.  The media does, but you don't see much carrying on at all.
2.  The riots only occur when a Republican is President.  That's also a fact. 
 

The latest that I read (from a dubious source) is that the kid worked at FedEx… and one of the cop’s ex lady also worked at FedEx and had a thing going with the victim. The story is that it was  set up to beat the guy up (hence not asking for license/registration (since they already knew who the victim was). The real kicker is that supposedly the cop (ex bf) took a photo of the victim and sent it to his ex gf… if that’s true, it certainly changes things. 
 
Don’t take it as gospel, it’s just what I read. It’ll be interesting to see if that story pans out.

I didn't.   We moved there when the kids were younger.  There's no better place to raise kids in Orange County. 
 
Or on the Planet of Earth, for that matter.
