What makes it racial is all the people in Obama noose pics are white. Drumph noose pics are because of his perceived bigotry which is why most of the people in his noose pics are also white. I know that's hard to swallow in SETX which is still semi-segregated.

ALL politicians take care of folks with money, they choose which ones. I am not gonna benefit from a trump presidency, no more than i did Obama. At least the presidency has term limits, Unlike congress with all the crooked, greedy bastards there. Probably will benefit some when Trump starts cutting environmental regulations it will make my employer happy. Probably will make the medical facilities and specialty doctors happy also.

The republicans have plenty of blame here, so to make it seem like only the left is at fault is not fair.  Both sides are incredibly partisan, and neither is willing to work with the other.  And anyone celebrating this now likely won't be in the future the next time the left is in the position to use this strategy.  It was a shame that republicans worked so hard to thwart democratic nominees from Obama for lower courts to begin with, leading to the first use of the "nuclear option".  And now the republicans are going to both A) blame the dems for not allowing this nominee to go through (even though they blocked a democratic nominee last year in similar fashion) and B ) blame the dems for first using the nuclear option, even though the republicans basically forced them to use it, and even though republicans have no problem using it when put in the same position.  I'm not picking a side here.  Both are culpable.  But to get on here and celebrate us getting to this point as a good thing is asinine.  This whole scenario does not at all represent the democratic process, and when our leaders start skirting/changing rules we're in trouble.  You guys like it now because the right is in charge, but sooner or later that will change, and y'all may not be happy with what happens when it does.  I know I won't be.

The problem is that almost all of our politicians (approx. 90% of Republicans and 65% of Democrats) aren't serving the American people; they're serving their donors.

Overpriced drugs that are used for cancer and other chronic illnesses are way overpriced and politicians ignore it because they are being paid off. If they wanted to help working folks and the elderly, fix the healthcare system, stop supported big healthcare business. be a hero for the people FIX healthcare  problems. 

I didnt read the article, but anyone that doesn't believe that both parties lie, have mental issues. And when it comes to lying they are closer to equal than most want to believe. The last 16 years were controlled by a pub and a dem. What did we learn from 2007 and 2016. Look at how much money rich folk spend on elections!

Trump will get credit from me if my life improves because of his presidency. I also care about the elderly folks and the working poor. Everyone receiving government assistance isnt abusing the system and I don't mind some of my tax dollars going in that direction. The majority of politicians are not out to help the blue collar working folks, elderly, hungry children ect. Also Military spending needs to include folks that have and folks that are serving, not just on the latest and greatest equipment

unfortunately most people aren't like you.  It kills me the amount of people who proclaim to be Constitutionalists yet convienently forget one of the foremost principles this country was founded upon - innocent until proven guilty.  They read something, see something on tv, and let the lynch mob begin for whomever happens to be accused.  The bottom line is we are to PRESUME someone is innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT.  If anyone has borne the burden of being falsely accused of something (and most of us have at some point in our lives), they should realize the fundamental importance of this most precious of our tenets. 
But I wonder the same as you - Dr. Thomas was public enemy #1 so to speak in this whole ordeal.  With all the investigation that has been done, I am surprised he hasn't been at least charged by now if they had the "goods" on him.  Maybe he will in the future; we can only wait and see  
And I believe like you, most of the good folks within BISD want the best for their kids.  I have many friends of all ethnicities in Beaumont that were outraged by the corruption that has been proven within the district and don't want any of it to occur again.  I am hopeful that the elections will reflect that.
