excellent season for the pirates... nothing to hang your heads about!

after giving up 4 in the 1st, Darvish gave up only 1 in his final 4 2/3, and retired 10 or 11 in a row at one point.  i can understand the nerves, and the way he bounced back makes me excited.  in line for the win in spite of his poor start to the game.

[/quote] comparing TW to TT is like comparing steak to mac-n-cheese out of the box.  sure, they both taste good, but they're not anywhere near the same class, even when the steak is only an average one.

pretty neat seeing how emotional he got when he won... with the way he carries himself on the course, he was the last player i'd expect to see break down.

i'm in a money bracket with 40 people.  after day 1 of the round of 32, i was in 37th place.  i'm now in 3rd place.  what a difference a week makes!

wow, this is absurd.  my nephew didn't make all-region, so he's going to transfer, and the guy who scored more points than him made all-region but he sucks because he's selfish and shoots too much, etc. etc. etc.  i'm glad young mr. bosha has a better attitude on the court than you do off it.  as for transferring to beaumont, bosha can really look forward to being overlooked then.  6'4" isn't that big of a deal in 4A, and he'll have a whole team full of teammates with a shoot-first, pass-later attitude.  he'll be lucky to take 5 shots a game.

I thought lamar might get a 15.  i'm very surprised they ended up in a playin game.  that being said, now they have a chance to win a tourney game.  they wouldn't have a shot if they were a straight-16.
