Joe Lunardi is projecting them last 4 to make it into the field.

the horns have had a solid season.  the one thing that worries me is that they don't have that signature win.  they've had 4 or 5 games against top-10 teams that they've lost by less than 5 points, but they never could pull one off.

Horns pick up a HUGE win!  gets them to 20 on the season, and is a quality win for their resume.

Texas is up 4 against against 22-9 ISU in the Big 12 tourney right now.  i think if they pull off the minor upset, it's possibly enough to get them into the big dance.

i wasn't super impressed with them, to be honest.  they should've lost twice in the regional tourney.  but who knows.  they picked up wins over two of the best in 3A, and their record speaks for itself.

it's a softer game than it used to be, too.  just watch old highlights from the EPL from maybe 15-20 years ago.  challenges that weren't even called back then are now yellows and reds.  the rules are a lot stricter to try and keep players safer.

they should move it to the montagne center so i could conveniently attend...

i heard HJ played Liberty, and beat them 4-0.  that might be wrong, though.  i know the boys played liberty.

yeah, heard HJ surrendered 3 goals in the final 5 minutes of the second OT.  crazy finish.

dang, that sucks.  just got home, saw the halftime score earlier, thought Silsbee was gonna win it.

how many times has it cost over the last couple of seasons?  it almost cost him last night over a much inferior team.

i know that yates has lost some games in the past few years because of this "if it ain't broke" attitude.  seems to me that a "great coach" that "knows better" isn't willing to change, maybe he doesn't really know better.  he kinda reminds me of Calipari at Kentucky.  Great recruiter, but maybe not the best coach... ;)

having watched both games last night, LaVega is a slightly better version of Athens.  Quick, athletic, a little bigger.  If Silsbee plays like they did most of the game last night, i think they're going home, as they should've lost to Athens.  But if the Silsbee team that showed up in that second OT shows up, they've got the ability to kill La Vega with that press and win this one.  HJ and Silsbee have shown they're pretty equal this year, and HJ played one of their worst games of the season (i'll give WLV a little credit for that, but not a lot), and still should've won.  Silsbee can certainly beat them.  I'll be rooting for Silsbee to represent us in state.
