were gonna put in under the bridge yesterday and it was still way too choked with hyacinth.

private piers help a lot!  on a whole, the fishing hasn't been as good this year as last year, with the exception of under the birds for a few days on Sabine.  i can't speak for everyone, but it's been that way for me.  and i've done a LOT of fishing this year. 

PNG did a good job of replacing quality with quality.  considering the small amount of experienced soccer coaches in the area, that was a heck of a feat.

I'm not a rockets fan, but i'm not sure about this deal.  he's a defensive liability, and he turns the ball over a lot.  he's an exciting player, but it seems like defenses figured him out and turned him into a run of the mill PG after those first 2 weeks.  we'll see.  hopefully it works out for the rockets.

saw several crabs.

that was the only calm spot on Keith Lake.  and the fishing sucked too, besides that big boy.

don't catch many reds out there, but the flounder were between 17-19 inches, except for one.  that was NICE!

i heard 21-3A isn't going to send teams to the playoffs since it's so pointless.

couple of great goals the last two days... balotelli's was great, but Ibrahimovic got what will likely be the goal of the tourney for sweden.

if it were any other weekend i'd be in.  i'm leaving for florida friday :(

talked to some people last night who were coming in with 10 from the jetties and 20 from sabine.

that's a lot of big bass.

last time we were out there we saw a guy try to outrun a wave from a ship with the outboard, but he'd forgotten to raise the trolling motor.  you could hear it snap from 200 yards away.
