Not sure where God addressed abortion in the bible. I have zero issue taking the life of a criminal who deserves it. I also have zero issue with someone deciding to terminate an embryo in their own body. To each his own.

My opinion on it is this... you had a bunch of nutjobs storm the capitol. One of them got killed in a highly publicized shooting. Since the officer wasn't charged with a crime, I don't at all blame them for doing their best to protect his identity. I'd think there's a very real chance of some other nutjob trying to come after him (the kind of person that would storm the capitol, maybe?). He was cleared by a grand jury. Knowing his identity doesn't do anything for anyone. If he'd been charged with a crime it would be out there.

I'm firmly pro-choice and pro-death penalty.

I live in Fannett, and just got hired to teach at HFE next year. I hope they have this kind of success, but this seems overly optimistic.

It's just been a weird dynamic on this one for me... many of the same people that are pissed about this officer making a split-second decision to shoot an insurrectionist breaching the house chambers don't have any of the same animosity towards an officer who spent nearly a quarter of an hour kneeling on a handcuffed subject's neck.

The blood clots should've been a non-issue to be honest. Women on birth control, smokers, and... people with covid all have a much high risk of those clots. But yeah, our government can't be trusted much, on either side of the aisle.

I just thought your "Thank you doctors for speaking out" quote was funny. Your doc here has no credibility. She's a political shill. She's also an anti-vaxx nutter who's been throwing out false and misleading information. I did not say children should get the vaccine, just pointing out that her argument doesn't have a whole lot of validity. She's not basing any opinion on "the science", she's just trying to make herself a new career as a political activist (since she got fired based on some of her false info and getting arrested in the capital insurrection). If I was telling people that it's okay for kids to get the vaccine because it's perfectly safe, I would be dishonest because I do not know that for sure. She's doing the same thing, just in the other direction. Intentionally misleading people with fake, doctored, or outdated info. I know that doesn't bother you because she's saying what you want to hear.

The head of frontline doctors got arrested in the capital insurrection. I'd say that adequately calls into question both her sensibility as well as her motivation.

Their girl's soccer team lost 1-0 in the regional finals to the eventual state winner. Their baseball team is currently 3 rounds deep in the playoffs, and their softball is currently alive in the 4th round. The boys soccer team had a disappointing year and lost in the 3rd round in a shootout to the eventual state runners up. They're literally good at every sport.

If you're a white high schooler and a good athlete, and your parents have good jobs in or around the metroplex, they buy a place in Argyle. It's as simple as that. It's like the white flight that we see around here, but somehow most of the elite athletes are going to one place, and the player pool is enormous. They've managed to keep the enrollment down low enough to play at a smaller classification so that they can continue to compete for titles in virtual every sport (like Yates basketball) while having a large pool of players. I don't think Argyle has to recruit. The kids all just go there. It's a weird dynamic.

Just about every 4A and under job in the state is a stepping stone, with a very small amount of exceptions. You might get a rare instance of someone finding success at a small school and staying because the talent is so good there, or being loyal to where they grew up, but 99/100 coaches are going to keep trying to go to bigger schools and make more money or gain more rep. When you're talking about a school with Tarkington's talent, facilities, and pay, what coach is going to come work there and then stay if they're offered a job at a better place? It's just the reality of it.

Agree. Or unhealthy people died before the vaccines were available to them. But that's been reported from the very beginning. As to the uptick of VAERS calls, 274,000,000 extra vaccine doses have been administered so far this year vs. last year. I'd expect there to be a notable uptick in VAERS claims. A lot of those claims will be inaccurate, but i'm sure that a lot more people this year will suffer vaccine injuries when the amount of vaccines is increasing by however many 100% in adults.

Safe to say for sure. We also know people who refused the jab died from covid. Isn't that safe to say as well? As for Eric Clapton, I'll be honest, I'm a little hesitant to believe him. No doubt people have had effects from the vaccine, but when an anti-lockdown activist gets the vaccine and starts talking about how horrible it was, talking about side effects nobody else is having, I'm a little suspicious. He and Van Morrison actually wrote and performed an "anti-lockdown" song. So maybe he really got sick afterwards, but I take it with a grain of salt. It's kinda like if you were forced to take the vaccine for work or something and then came on claiming that you became temporarily paralyzed by it or something. I'd have a hard time believing it.

It's a pretty typical and ridiculous example of the way the media and government manipulates numbers and creatively interprets them to push across the narrative they want to push. She deserves all the criticism she gets. That being said, only 223 fully vaccinated people dying of (or with) covid is a phenomenal number compared to the amount of people who died of (or with) covid before the vaccinations ramped up. It's hard to ignore the major difference. 147,000,000 americans are fully vaccinated, and to this point 223 of them maybe died of covid? I'd say that's a success.
