Burkeville plays Chester friday so they will be 4-2, goodrich and spurger are 4-1, they play Friday so no matter what Burkeville will be tied for third by this weekend
Techically yes, they would be tied for 3rd. But, they would be tied with a team that they have lost to already. Not a good sitiuation to be in. ;)
 2. Silsbee trailed 45-42 with under 4 minutes remaining, then finished the game with a 14-2 run to get the hard fought win. Silsbee's defense is what won this game for them. The offense definitely sputtered tonight but that was because the Mustangs played great defense themselves. Credit to WOS for taking it to the Tigers tonight. In the end, it was Silsbee's experience in big games that won it for them down the stretch. Not having Lane the whole 2nd half hurt the Tigers offensively and couple that with DC having to sit for 10 of the 16 minutes in the 2nd half, made matters worse. Silsbee definitely gutted this one out. Kudos to the Tiger bench for pulling them through. Again, it's the strength of this team that the Tigers have over their 21-3A opponents, a much deeper bench. Chris Elam came off the bench to lead Silsbee in scoring, getting 16 points. Stallworth finished with 11, getting 7 in the last 4 minutes of the game. Gaines had 10 and Lane finished with 8, only playing the one half. Robert Redd led WOS with 17, while D'Andrus Brooks had 11. Silsbee was a dismal 2 for 18 from the 3 point line, 11%, while WOS went 6 for 19, 31%. Silsbee out rebounded WOS, 42-32. Silsbee shot 14 of 21 from the free throw line for 66%, WOS was 15 for 20, 75%. Silsbee improves to 21-2, 2-0 in district, WOS falls to 11-12, 1-1.

 7. Varsity girls game about to start. Probably a 8pm start for varsity boys.
 8. Silsbee by 14 WOS      54 Silsbee    68
 9. Only dunks that matter(other than it counts as 2 points) are dunks in traffic, aka, alley oops, rebound dunks, or driving through the paint and flushing it in someone's face. Snowbird dunks(95% of all high school dunks) really makes no difference in the attitude of the game.
 10.
;D  Glad you told me that cause Kelli is standing 5 feet from me.
For once I have a slight jealousy of Kerry at the moment. It passed. (that's about as close as she allows you to get, huh Kerry? ;))
 11.
Mike i'm going to tell Kelli you like ms. Bentley.  ;D
NO NO NO!!!! Don't do that!! I cannot be responsible for what they may do to each other if they find out. ;D
 12.
I just woke her up (takes her forever to stretch and roll over), I showed her this thread and she said she didn't know about the site.  :D :D whew, glad this is in admin and not just mod forum
Well, there goes my theory right out the window of her having great taste. ;D
 13.
With all the players Jasper has comeing back what will Jasper run on Offense??
Hopefully for them, what bests fits their personel. I thought they should have been running an I or veer last year, not spread.
 14.
Wait a minute! Why haven't we seen any predictions on this game, or am I looking at a different schedule? How do you think these two teams will fare? HF (2nd place)is close to Silsbee ( 1st place?)in the current district standings 8)
Maybe because both teams have games tonight to worry about first. But, if you need a prediction, Silsbee defeats HF by 30+.
 15.

They would be better suited with that awesome freshman class at Silsbee. ;) FYI, last Friday: HJ       9th     36 Silsbee 9th     58 ;) ;) ;)
Actually, HF's current 2014/2015 class  would kill your 2014/2015 class next year. ;)
But, we were talking about the 2013/14 class (current freshman), not the current 8th grade class. ;)
 16. Any coach would be looking to better himself. Kirbyville is definitely not the "end-all" type of job. I don't see anything wrong with Jack trying to get a 5A, 4A or bigger 3A job. As for the talent coming up at Kirbyville, I saw their freshman team play some this year, was not too impressed.
 17. Why do you ask?
 18. I know who is getting this job!!! ;) Got a friend in Paris. Kirbyville folks, you............... ;D
 19.

This game could be a trap for Silsbee, after playing such a big game with HJ, they need to be carefull not to let down. I know that WO-S will come in looking to knock them off. And playing with nothing to loss they could be dangerous
\ When you are the top team in the area, every game is a potential trap
Excellant point, nash.
 20.
HJ 9th "mops the floor" with Silsbee 9th if Bosha played on that team!!!!! ;) ;) ;)
::) ::) ::)
 21. They would be better suited with that awesome freshman class at Silsbee. ;) FYI, last Friday: HJ      9th    36 Silsbee 9th    58 ;) ;) ;)
 22. I have seen HF play a few games this season. They start 3 kids '6"5 and their guard play overall is not very strong. I agree, they would be much better suit in a halfcourt game. You cannot expect HF to become an up tempo team just because a freshman PG just got moved up. One player fast breaks will not work against HJ, Silsbee and WOS. Silsbee started 3 bigs last year (Thomas '6"6, Jones '6"7, Stallworth '6"4), they were definitely more of a half court team, and used that height to their advantage. This year, the Tigers are much more of a guard oriented team with much more depth. This allows them to be more up tempo, allowing for mass substituting, keeping fresh legs in, giving them the advantage in an up tempo game. I do not see HF with that kind of advantage from their bench. There is no denying that the freshman PG will be good in time, but he and HF will suffer under pressure applied by the likes of HJ, Silsbee and WOS this season. It's best for them to try and slow the pace down.
 23. If the games go according to how they went last Friday, look for another 8pm or later start for the boys varsity game.
