1.
I was curious so I looked into the UIL Rules and did not see anything about the Home team not allowed to sit on Visitors side the following is the only thing listed in reference to seating. (1) Seating. The visiting team has the right to demand one-half of the stadium seats in relation to the 50-yard line in all League football contests, whether district games, non-district games or playoff games, unless mutually agreed otherwise by the two schools involved. A visiting team can demand one half of the reserved seats. A visiting team has a right to split the stadium in relation to the fifty yard line, subject to the end zone situation being equal, unless mutually agreeable otherwise
I was just looking at that jmoore.....I believe a team can make a rule for their field or a district could make a rule for their schools but I cannot find anywhere in the UIL handbook that says it is a UIL rule
 2. I bet there will be plenty of Vidor fans on Ned's side.......and if that is true, and the subvarsities fall under UIL, then how do fans watch games where there are just stands on one side of the field?
 3.

I know the 500 tickets that PNG got were gone the first day of season ticket sales. All I can tell you is get there early if you want to wait in line for a ticket and bring a cooler of drinks and food.
We play you guys for homecoming.  There will be some ticked off Pirate fans come this game too because I know that almost all of the home side has been sold already.  There isn't hardly any season tickets left with the exception of one seat here and there and the gen admin tickets are pretty much gone too.
I always hought that the visiting team got the visiting seating allotment......if they were not sold by a certain day the remaining tickets were returned to the home team to then be sold. I know this isn't a rule but usually adhered to unspoken rule
 4.
Per NISD Vidor sent ONLY ten tickets for this game. This is unforgiveable on the part of powers to be in Vidor. My Dad is 85 yrs old. I'm 58 with severe neck problems and my brother is 60 with a bad back. We are not capable of standing in line for hours to get tickets for something we look forward to for months. I have personally taken up for Vidor against haters from other areas in defense of the people in the community on this board and outside of sports. We went to Vidor playoff games and supported your team. Now we will be forced to miss this game because of some chicken s--t ploy by the administrators in your school district. To go to these lengths to try to gain any kind of advantage is dismal at the least. Congratulations.
I agree pops........had this gone down the other way it would have been the other team griping....and deservedly so
His signature isn't arrogant at all. It simply explains what we as a community, school and program EXPECT this season.
What some people call arogance others call expectations......I agree with you Ghost, I think the community should expect........others may call it arrogant. LT fans were referred to as being arrogant earlier for the same thing you are saying you as a fan expect. Dayton fans expect their team to win district and go deep in the playoffs.......I do not think that is arrogant
 7. They expect to get there every year.....just as Permian did back in the day........Buddy, you have had a signature here for quite sometime talking about a rematch in December.......that isn't at least a little arrogant?
 8. First game I have made this year........I did not think BH could be slower than last year.....I was wrong. Good discipline but speed kills
 9. If they come out before the game and say they are short 5 starters everyone says they are making excuses before they play........bring it up after and it is funny how we hear this after they lose. No winning on that. Winning as much as they have gives them the right to talk....IMO
 10. College park scored.....missed x pt 14-9 4:00 3rd qtr
 11. I am at clear brook vs college park.....pretty sloppy 1st half
 12. I believe football should be played outside on natural grass....that being said I never understood the trays of grass concept.......just get the pro turf
 13.
[Hidden Content] I smell 3-4 game Saturdays coming back like they had in the Astrodome come playoff time  ;)
I used to love playoff Saturdays at the dome......you could catch 4 games on a Saturday.....great times
 14. I remember going to Galveston Ball back when they had good teams (70's). It was bad for the opposing team when Ball won, God forbid if you won.

Right......BUT, Bellaire got an awful lot of really good baseball players being a magnet school. My understanding then was that if they offered a course that the students school didn't offer they could transfer. I guess all baseball players wanted to learn Russian or Zimbabweian or whatever 3rd world country language was hot that year
What? I personally know kids at Yates making good grades AND they earn them!!! My son is good friends with several of the players. Yates is an inner city school and like most of these schools they have to try and educate the students most other non-inner city schools don't want as students.
Give it up Dove.  They are coming to Yates to play basketball.  You know it.  I know it.  So does everyone else.  Inner city does NOT justify anything that is taking place.
I was not trying to drag down Yates, I just was saying if a kid was truly worried about academics, sat down with mom and dad and said...."take basketball out of the equation, where do I want to attend school for academics......I do not think Yates is in the top 100 schools listed.
 16. Back in their heyday.......TJ in Memorial stadium was torture. The kids in the endzone bleachers throwing crap.....lol
 17. Are you asking what opposing stadium is the hardest to win at? Or, what place is hardest to win at because of expectations? Or, what place is hardest to win at because of lack of athletes or discipline?

 19.
I still say if he is not the QB that Offense is nowhere near as good as it is currently. I know alot of people would rather have him on defense if they had a choice between defense or offense, i'd rather have him on offense. And guys its not like he cant chunk the rock either.  ;)
He does what is asked of him...... I was at the Clear Brook game Buddy and I thought he was more valuable to Vidor at QB than at LB
