PamFam said....."Gay rights, abortion, immigration and economy will be what the people vote on"   This is a sad, pathetic statement......no offense PamFam, it is the statement not the person I am upset at.........we can go $40 gazillion into debt as long as we get gay rights and amnesty.............truly sad. We need to get us a leader that will concentrate on the economy, get our foreign policy back in order and keep the government out of our everyday lives.   The really sad part is.....PamFam is more than likely right........social issues, the feel good stuff is what the younger generation is worried about. We need to worry about the important things.

Big Gurl........I have come across many on welfare driving brand new luxury vehicles. When I am behind someone in tha Walmart and watch them get ribeyes and lobster on the lone star card and then whip out a roll of cash to pay for cigs and booze, I then like to follow them out and see what kind of grocery go-getter they drive. Sometimes it is a small non-luxury vehicle but many times it is way more than what you or I drive.   It is done quite a bit. I tend to think it (the extra cash) comes from one of 2 places. First, some illegal activity or trade or 2, they actually work but for cash so it is not reported and the can collect from the gov't. This double dipping, which happens quite a bit, kills us twofold.   Imagine the turnaround in cash flow if 500,000 people went from taking $1600/ month from the system and had a job where they paid $700/ month into the system. What is that, instead of $800,000,000 per month leaving.........we would replace it with $350,000,000 coming in........that is a $1.15 billion a month swing for the good. The jobs are there......they might not be the exact job a person wants but there are jobs to be had. I think the gov't makes it too easy on these folks. Also, by keeping a big group dependant on the gov't keeps them in your back pocket when the voting time comes around.   Granted, there are many who need this system in place to survive but the ones abusing should be put behind bars.

Shawn has been playing very well this year. I followed him for 2 days at Houston where he finished 5th.   Stroud has been solid this year as well. Glad to see them playing well on the tour

I wish our veterans got the treatment that the poor, needy and children get here. The very guys that protect yours and my freedoms get the shaft when it comes to being cared for. Heck, prisoners get better treatment than Vets get......except for the around the clock sex from Guido the killer pimp.

You are correct westend1.........I think one of the problems is the pedestal these guys live on their whole lives. It does not always end the same but they have the feeling of I can do no wrong and coach will bail me out because I can throw, run, catch better than anyone.

This Stansbury thing could get interesting.........I just caught a bit of a story but what I saw was he said he was nowhere near Rice campus but 3 people say they saw him (one lady said she spoke to him) and he was staying a block away.   I have no clue as to what happened but the stories are very different

Buddy, I know he has a very checkered past but Silver went out of his way to say this decision was based solely on this recording.   Dante Stallworth pled guilty to DUI manslaughter charges and was suspended a year. (I know that is NFL) I think Ron Artest going into the stands and hitting a fan was worse than this and he missed a year

I still think this is about the stupidest crap show ever. I still try to understand what was so bad. He called Magic "a black man"......proper wording used. He asked his hooker to not bring him to games and rub it in his face.......nothing wrong there.......he did not say "no blacks allowed at Clippers games". He was recorded in a private conversation which is wrong......the only "crime" committed.   I sure hope no one records conversations that I have in my private home because I, as most everyone on here, have said things that may not be in best taste.
