Right, and no matter how much the Dems and media want it to, this will make no difference in November.
Sadly, breaking the law probably won't either.

Numbers are unreliable, but i saw a statement of 990 last year that was published in a BBC article today. That seems remarkably low to me, considering there are approximately 800,000 police officers in the US dealing with criminals on a daily basis, many armed with weapons and resisting arrest. I'd be curious what he says, but TVC has been a law enforcement officer for 30 years, and has never shot anybody. I'm willing to bet he's had dozens, if not hundreds of incidents where he could've done so legally. The vast majority of officers show tremendous restraint when it comes to use of deadly force, and some officers have been killed because of that.

I'm a big fan of Sheriff David Clarke. I have been impressed everytime I've heard him speak.

He's honored criminals such as Michael Brown before the facts came out, turning them into heroes when in fact they were common criminals who were rightfully killed by police. This has lead to unjust anger, which has led to violence in some instances. There are still A LOT of people who think Mike Brown is a hero who was murdered for no reason, even though conclusive evidence has come out that the officer did nothing wrong, and that the killing was completely justified. Before that evidence came out, Obama spoke out on his behalf, spearheaded a biased government investigation into the issue, and even sent representatives to his funeral. Through his words and actions, he essentially blamed a white cop for the murder of an innocent black man. This helped fuel the flames, and ignited anger. When it came out that Mike Brown brought the killing onto himself, Obama never said another word about it, and many of the folks who he moved to use Brown as a rallying cry against police brutality never quit believing the original false narrative he put out there. That pattern has continued to repeat itself.

I guess you have forgotten that the President with "kahunas" was preceded by a President that had none and left him with a mess that he dealt with, rather than run from.

So, you're trying to say that just because someone has video of an event, it doesn't always show what really happened? Amazing.

This is a good video that should be required watching before you go looting or protesting. Most of the cell phone videos are taken after the initial scuffle and the police gain control.

1. If he/she feels their life or anyone involved in the situation is in danger of injury/death. Just because he is a police officer doesn't mean he has to give anyone any more of an opportunity to harm them than a private citizen. Yes, I should hold myself to the same standard...I'm sure the legal system would. No new laws.
2. I don't think the system is racist...there are racist people in the system, but that is in any "system", sadly.
3. I don't know...let the facts come out.

Slight theological error there TVC. Original sin that took place in Genesis 3 brought guilt upon us all, therefore we were all sinful from birth (Psalm 51:5). Did any of you have to teach your children to lie, or hit, or throw fits? Each of us is born into a state of total depravity (Ephesians 2:1-3), and it takes the intervention of Christ to save us from that state (Ephesians 2:4-10). None of us are sinless creatures, heck some of us lust in our sleep. How are we to control that? The only thing that regenerates the sinful heart (because of original sin) of man is Christ. What we are experiencing in our world today is a direct result of our totally depraved state. Slavery which led to segregation which led to discrimination which led to racism which leads to hate, murder, and more hate and murder. Our only hope is Christ and his intervention in the chaos. As believers, we should spend more time praying for Christ to step into the situation, rather than pointing fingers at one another trying to decide whose life matters more.
So to answer the original question, are we suffering because of our own sin? No. We are suffering because of original sin.

I agree no politician can fix it and I know God can and that he has a plan and I know that we all are sinners and for me I am a work in progress never to be suitable to live in Gods kingdom but through his grace and the fact that he sent Jesus to die for our sins and knowing that I will never be deserving on my merits I do think I am going to be pleased with the outcome!
