  1. I think you don’t know what executing is. But as to why he was shot, I know that one officer yelled “gun!”, and within a second or two of that another officer disarmed him, during which the gun went off. I believe the officer who fired the shots either saw the pistol taken and in the struggle mistakenly thought that the victim had pulled it from the holster, or didn’t see the gun but heard “gun” and then almost immediately heard the shot and thought the victim was pulling the trigger. I don’t think the victim “deserved” to be shot, and I don’t think it should’ve happened under these circumstances, but I do think there’s going to be a pretty strong argument for ruling the shooting as justified. It’s not really any different than a lot of the cases we see where some kid who’s afraid of the cops runs when he’s pulled over for speeding or fights the cops because they’re busting him on a misdemeanor marijuana charge. The situation escalates needlessly and all of a sudden something that shouldn’t have been a big deal at all puts a cop in a situation where they have to make a split-second decision based on the information they have and their reasonable belief that they’re in danger. Oftentimes when we can go back and look at it from a different angle (and in slow motion), the cop could’ve done something different. But they wouldn’t have had to make a split-second decision if the person they were dealing with didn’t put them in the situation to begin with. Sometimes cops get it wrong, and sometimes it’s still justified. I think that may end up being the case here.

  2. 1 polls are useless 2 of coarse a thorough investigation is needed 3 to blame this on the lack of ICE training in mob management rather than blaming the mob is unreasonable. 4 if you want better trained personnel to handle the mob, shouldn’t we bring in the military?

  3. That is kind of what happened in the Amadou Diallo case. Detective, were going to speak to a person (Amadou Diallo) on the street who fit the description of a sexual assault suspect. They asked him for identification and he ran, running up a stairway and reached into his pocket and pulled out a black pistol while he was running. The closest officer yelled “Gun!” and there was a shot and the officer went down. The other officers returned fire killing Diallo. Except the black pistol was his wallet. The closest officer who yelled gun tripped and accidentally fired his gun. The officers behind him heard the officer yell gun, heard the gunshot and saw the officer go down. It all happened in a couple of seconds. They all were indicted for a second-degree murder and a jury found all of them not guilty, finding it was a reasonable belief under the circumstances.

  4. [Hidden Content] From the article: A coordinated web of encrypted chats, street alerts and tracking of ICE "Abductors" in a sophisticated database reviewed by Fox News Digital shows that agitators were already mobilized at the scene where 37-year-old Alex Pretti was killed minutes before any shots were fired. ICE and Border Patrol agents were there to arrest an illegal immigrant criminal, and Pretti and others were there, outside a donut shop, to meet them as part of a strategic pattern of organized interference with law enforcement operations. Over the following hours, a national network of socialist, communist and Marxist-Leninist cells in the United States leveraged the tragic fatality into a nationwide protest operation. While grief and outrage over Pretti's death is genuine, the network's real-time rapid response, using short sensational video clips and emojis as weapons of propaganda, offers a window into the disciplined logistics, messaging and coordination of far-left warriors fomenting insurgency-like confrontation with authorities.

  5. Deport all illegals. Report anyone suspected of being an illegal in your neighborhood or job to 1-866-DHS-2-ICE (1-866-347-2423), the official 24/7 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tip Line - it is now active.

  6. West Brook players were wrong to even go over there in the first place, and I’m sure that’ll be handled. But no adult should ever be going back and forth with a kid. That’s a lack of emotional intelligence and maturity. Now social media is full of think pieces from grown people blaming refs, blaming coaches, blaming everything except the truth. Why are we so afraid to let our kids fail? This is exactly why this generation struggles — too many adults want to hold their hands and shield them from every stone thrown their way. Life is harder than a basketball game. Let’s teach them how to stand on two feet, hold their heads high, and handle defeat with character. That’s how you build young men, not by protecting them from every uncomfortable moment.

  8. Maybe it has been covered, but I don’t feel like reading through all of these comments… The mantra from the left is that ICE agents are not real law-enforcement or police, which is false and that they are untrained. So here we have proof that ICE has too little training………. wait a minute, that wasn’t ICE. That was the Border Patrol that shof the guy in Minneapolis. Do we remember the CBP, the heroes who were so highly trained that it was them that stepped up and ended the Uvalde shooting. Again, maybe it has been covered but this wasn’t ICE

  9. Looks like Walz is coming to his senses...... From Truth Social: Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota. It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength. I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Homan call him, and that what we are looking for are any and all Criminals that they have in their possession. The Governor, very respectfully, understood that, and I will be speaking to him in the near future. He was happy that Tom Homan was going to Minnesota, and so am I! We have had such tremendous SUCCESS in Washington, D.C., Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and virtually every other place that we have “touched” and, even in Minnesota, Crime is way down, but both Governor Walz and I want to make it better! 11. The Feds recovered 1100 separate chat groups in Signal with 400,000 unique messages on Stewart Rhodes phone after Jan. 6th. There is talk that inside officials in the Government may have coordinated with Petti on the harassment of ICE agents.....I think we are about to see the Trump administration take action on these ILLEGAL protestors.....

  13. People expect cops to be perfect, while the criminals can act a fool, then play victim when it doesn’t go their way. You got some sick people who side against law and order, until they become a victim.

  16. What has that got to do with anything? He can’t be wrong, he’s an ICU nurse at the VA!! In truth that might be found to be part of his indoctrination. I am not suggesting that he is anything other than honorable. He could however be angry at the federal government by the way that treat veterans as seen by his work with the VA and carried that anti-government stance into attacking federal agents who he believes are part of the problem. I have arrested people from doctors to business owners, police officers, members of the clergy, etc. There aren’t any exempt professions.

  18. I saw where someone compared Rittenhouse to this situation. Both brought loaded weapons to a protest. One side said it was wrong, the other applauded. I am not saying this is the same but there is some irony.

  31. I really don’t think the radical left realizes what they’ve unleashed. They’ve now set up basically an underground syndicate that—right now—is harassing/impeding immigration enforcement. Now that the groups know the tactics, they’re just as likely to turn on their own in a similar fashion if they don’t vote the way these groups desire. Then, we’ll hear screaming about political intimidation about the same people they’re egging on now.

  36. Methinks Walz has ulterior motives. Trump knows not to trust him any further than he can throw him. Getting in good graces and doing an about face when the walls are closing in, is an act of desperation. Trump sees right through this but is welcoming cooperation. This will simply prolong the fraud investigation. Walz should have done this before two of his protesters got killed.

  37. I am liking me some Bucky Ball but I need to see what they do these next few games against some stout competition. My Aggies have been fortunate enough to have only played one ranked team (lost to Tennessee) thru the first 20 games (16-4). It's definitely a good start and one that most wasn't expecting after Buzz left and took most of the players with him. A&M is at #21 Georgia Saturday, then at #17 Alabama, home for #16 Florida and Missouri, then at #15 Vanderbilt. This stretch will tell us where we are as a tourney team.

  39. I’m a huge fan of Del Conte and think he’s a helluva an AD. He was also more of a basketball guy prior to coming to UT so far be it from me to criticize any hire he makes. But Miller is pretty much the opposite of the Bucky Ball hire (i.e, big name, splashy-type hire). Different approach, often times “safer” both in results on the court and in justification by the AD. Time will tell how each hire plays out. In terms of recruiting at this level, I’m not sure how much coaching comes into play anymore. I’m afraid wayyyy more often than not, it simply comes down now to who brings the biggest “bag.” I also have no idea how the NIL for basketball stacks up with these two schools. On that note, I think Grant McCasland has the easiet recruiting job of any coach in the state now. If Cody Campbell is willing to pump a few million into softball, I gotta think Tech hoops is gonna have the biggest NIL fund of any of the Texas schools. )If only Chris Beard hadn’t thought the grass was greener…) Speaking of the Red Raiders, read yesterday that Duke, U of H and BYU have a combined 5 losses this season. 3 of those are to Tech…

  40. Not a fan of that guy. I am probably biased there too but I don’t have a lot of respect for guys that sacrifice their friends to attempt to hold on to their job a little longer. Tim Kaine was a top assistant of his for years and was widely credited for getting Ja Morant to Murray State (without which, I’m not sure McMahon ever gets the LSU job). I half expected them to can him after last season and try to bring back Will Wade.

  41. I am admittedly biased because I am fairly tight with one of his assistants who was also with him at Samford. But this appears like it could be a tremendous hire by Alberts. Bucky wasn’t a “sexy” type hire that many Power 5s are tempted to make. He had a really good 5 year run at Samford but that was his first collegiate job after being a very successful HS coach. That’s not the “safest” of hires for an AD in the SEC. One sign of a great coach is who he hires as his assistants. My buddy aside, I loved the Kyle Keller hire. I always thought he was exceptional at SFA with obvious roots in the state. I was hoping he might bring in Joe Jones, one of the all time Aggie greats on the court who is a very well-respected coach now in his own right. But staffs are often tricky, especially for new hires so maybe he will get to come home in the future.

  43. Michael Shellenberger on X: A Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minnesota shot a second person dead yesterday. Most of the debate since then has focused, understandably, on whether the ICE agent acted in what he perceived to be self-defense. Whatever the case, it’s clear that, by encouraging people to interfere in law enforcement operations, the Left is getting people killed. Videos show both victims, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, impeding law enforcement operations, which progressive nonprofits, Democrats, and liberal influencers have been encouraging for months. @UT alum @DCT
