Not necessarily. UIL has not decided on divisional districts for all sports. Just football for now. Supts. are wanting to keep it like it's been these last two season for other sports. Divide after district play. UIL should be making that decision in Feb. when the district alignments are announced.

That was my thinking as well.... Moving up teams like Woodville, Holliday, ect from 3ad2 and moving teams like Orangefield up from 3ad1 to 4ad2 and keeping sinton 4ad2 for this next realignment.

This is exactly why you want originalists in the Court vs. liberal revisionists. Originalists interpret intent & principles that apply across the decades. Those who say the Constitution is a ‘living document’ are full of it. Free speech (1st Amendment), right to bear arms (2nd), illegal search (4th), etc. principles remain the same as original intent whether the Framers knew about social media, specific firearms or not. Same with the other bedrock principles. The principles remain the same, and are just applied to current. Anything above that, and judges aren’t interpreting—which is their charge. They’re legislating. Which isn’t their arena.

Right off the top of my head it would have Orangefield move up to 4A and Tarkington stay 4A. Looks like none of our coverage area 4A's have any real chance of moving up to 5A.

BH Would likely be the overall third place team, and be the districts top seed in the 6A-ll bracket. BH can certainly live with that.

Just going off what few projections I have been privy to. With 6A looking like it will drop from 2275 to somewhere around 2205-2225, then one has to think other cutoffs will drop as much as 40-60 across the board. With 70% of all Texas schools having a decline in enrollment, the cutoff numbers have to drop some. How much they drop is the big question. It all starts with 6A. UIL always wants 6A to have at least 245 schools. Most times it's around 250. With the numbers out, if they were to use the same cutoff as last realignment (2275) then 6A would only have about 220 schools. So therefore they will have to drop the cutoff in order to get the preferred 245-250. This will cause a trickle down effect for the other cutoffs. But to answer your question, I would guess that the 3A DI/DII cutoff would be somewhere at 345-350.

My thought is as Democrats try to minimize everything Trump does, it won't matter. Trump has changed politics forever...... He is currently the most powerful man in the world..... I'm not sure the blame lies with Trump. Is a trifecta REALLY a trifecta when you don't have 60 votes in the Senate? There are some Republicans that need to replace in house and senate - but I'm afraid the only way to get things done quicky is eliminate the Filibuster (which I disagree with, because when the rolls are reversed it could be a nightmare). Trump is really working on the mid-terms, so I do have hope we keep house and senate (Which is against the usual norms) Back to the Filibuster, I hate when Democrats(or anyone really) pull the "threat to democracy" talking point. It is dishonest and an insult to the founders of this great country. The system is working like it was designed. Trump is not King, Obama did not hurt Democracy (he did screw up healthcare) and no President has went rogue. The system was designed to be challenged, that is why we have safe guards. At the same time, it was not designed for the President to be hindered by district judges on foreign policies or any Presidential powers. Trump, by design is challenging these things and bringing it to the Supreme Court to get all these matters resolved. So far this term, he is winning almost every one. I don't believe the Democrats seen this coming......Good news is, it will apply to all Presidents going forward...... Rant over

Obamacare was destined to fail. It has destroyed the healthcare system and should have never been passed. My question is where is the Republicans Plan? Trump has had the trifecta in DC for almost a year now. Where is his plan to replace Obamacare? I voted for Trump 3 times but this an issue I have not been happy about. Republicans are not codifying Trumps Executive Orders with legislation. Great job on the border and fuel prices/energy. Needs to work on replacing Obamacare and Election Integrity.

without discussing specific schools, I believe that any school in the state that opts up for football should have to opt up in all sports. Since "travel" is the issue, that's an issue for all sports, not just one. It would be fun watching the administration then try and explain to the community why opting up for an easier football district is worth the majority of the other sports programs suffering.

BC had a good year, no one is saying they didn’t. But the facts are that they ran from WOS, Silsbee, and HF. If travel was the reason they gave to UIL then they lied to them. Also they lost to the same team that Beat LCM in the playoffs. And LCM beat BC. Maybe they won’t run from the district they are supposed to play in again. If BC gets put in 4a D11 again they will be biggest in their district. Should be able to beat those other teams since they are such a powerhouse and have more kids.

We’ve been back and forth between D1 and D2 a few times. Truth be told, we’re a better fit as a school in D1. Our band and drill team are bigger than most D1 schools, plus we travel well. We’ll be fine wherever we end up.
