  1. I'm crowning Hardin the district champs and it won't be close. If I'm wrong, I'll take my crow with a side of toast and eggs, but I highly doubt anyone in the district can beat them!

  2. I agree nobody should have had them winning the game. But nobody should have had them losing 62-0.

  4. 1 more TD pass and Bailey will be tied #1 all time PN-G history and 2 more he will hold the all time 100 season passing TD record. For a single game.

  11. A top tier team vs a team who’s a shell of what they were two years ago. If PNG had kept their starters in, it could easily have been 70-0. PNG will win district and LC might only beat Splendora this year.

  13. My sentiments exactly... Based on what people was saying I thought Lufkin would win this in a close one but not a damn blowout by BH

  14. Yes, the junior qb is back. The running game is inflicting most of the damage with the occasional quick pass to keep the defense honest.

  15. Practice. They are up 21-0 and know they can pretty much get 4 yards whenever they want. They will need the deep ball later in the season

  17. D was revamped. Brought up another Freshman (17) who is every bit a shut down DB. 1’s only gave up 1 TD. QB’s platooned. Didn’t seem to hurt flow of O at all. Saenz also was punting—and did well—so teams will have to be wary of fakes. Simon was in beast mode, with well over 250 & 5 TD’s. He sat in the 4th. He should have close to 1,000 on the season already. Ruffin got 139 & 1 TD before he sat early 1st half for precaution. It wasn’t close. They looked like the team they were supposed to be. Staff used the bye week to do a lot of retooling. Good win. Especially with the Homecoming distractions.

  20. This game was an “inadvertent whistle” that no one heard away from either being 22-21 Buna or 21-20 EC. It was quite ridiculous.

  25. Apparently I was on here and missed a return. Must have been 1 or 2 seconds remaining. 31 - 18 Bears at the half.

  29. I agree all the way around. Although, Ruffin--as fantastic as he is paired with Simon--is also a really major cog in the D. I worry if he's used too much on O, the D suffers from the plays he needs to rest. Tough balancing act. But, I think that can be managed by the staff pretty well. It also gives playing time/experience to his B/U at the LB position. The QB situation, I've said since prior to the season, Wells brings the dynamic to the O that Saenz doesn't. But, Saenz has led this team through the whole building process, and played to his capabilities at the QB spot. I just think it's time to ride with the QB that can take the team to the next step. There's got to be a place Saenz can contribute. If he was a capable punter, it would be nice to have a QB punting. Teams would never be sure if a fake was coming, and it could be a great weapon. I have no idea how his receiving skills are. But, having him line up for possible double passes would be an awesome play to have in the playbook as well. Barnes and Sandolph graciously made way for Simon last year, knowing it would cut into their carries. They did it for the team. I think Saenz is the same type player, and the team has the same mentality. It never hurts to have two capable QB's in case of injury.
